WHEELING, W.Va. -- A group of rabbit hunters stumbled onto a first last week in Tyler County when they found a cow in distress and one of her newborn calves buried up to the tip of its nose in the ground.

"She was pacing and walking in circles," said hunter Bill Bassett. "We didn't know what was wrong with her."
