Iran: We can put Israel in 'eternal coma'
YNet News ^ | Jan. 25, 2006 | Nir Magal

Posted on 01/25/2006 11:08:23 AM PST by Alouette

Iran's defense minister says if Israel attacks Muslim republic, Iran and its allies can retaliate, 'put Israel in coma' similar to that of PM Sharon. Iran a lunatic regime, Israel's ambassador to U.N. says earlier Wednesday

Iran threatens again: Iran's Defense Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said Wednesday that the country and its allies could put Israel "in an eternal coma," like that of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, if Israel attempts to attack the Muslim republic.

"Israel does not have the courage to attack Iran, and if it commits such a big mistake, the defenders of Islamic Iran will put Israel in an eternal coma like Sharon," he said in a television appearance.

Najjar, who branded the United States and Israel as "the great and little Satan, who are using psychological war to intimidate Iran," was responding to recent statements by Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz, who said Israel may attack Iran if diplomatic measures to neutralize its nuclear armaments efforts fail.

"The state of Israel will not be able to accept Iranian armament, and must prepare to defend itself. The Iranian president's regime supports terror in the Middle East by providing terror organizations with rockets that threaten Israel, money and knowledge," Mofaz said at the Herzliya Conference Saturday.

Earlier Wednesday, Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations Dan Gillerman Iran's planned Holocaust conference was "proof of what a global threat Iran really is."

"I fear that the only reason Iran is showing so much interest in the Holocaust is because they may be preparing another Holocaust and it is up to the world and the United Nations to prevent that from happening," Gillerman said on the sidelines of the opening of the "No Child's Play" exhibit at the U.N. commemorating Holocaust remembrance week.

"Iran is proving yet again what an extreme, fundamentalist, lunatic regime it is," Gillerman said.

Let's just get on with it ...this problem is not going to go away , it will only get worse. Let's try something different ;
try and leave most of the people alone and try to take out all the leadership in one good strike. Political and religious leadership. Maybe if we chop the head off the snake for them , the good Iranian people will do the rest.

Sadly, it would be very diffficult for the U.S to put pressure on the iranian regime right now 9the flow of oil would stop), or launch any "change" (invasion would be out of the question -Iraq + Iran is too much)).

I have nothing against the people of Iran; most of them were born after the Iranian Revolution and from what I've read, the majority believe their parents were complete, total and utter morons for getting rid of the Shah. Living in Iran has all the thrill of a month long lecture on accountancy given by Fran Drescher.

Their leaders, however...I want the lot of the mullahs and freaks to die incredibly painful deaths.

Regards, Ivan

This isn't even funny. They held the supposedly strongest nation on earth hostage for 444 days over a quarter of a century ago; now they're denying the Holocaust and even hosting a Holocaust-denial conference, and they may wind up converting Fidel Castro.

Why does this country still exist?

The mullahs have put the U.S. and the rest of the world in a position where we have to act and invade now or we will have no future what so ever.

Correction: that's Purim 5766 (counting from the "mythical" creation).

But since most "enlightened" people think the story told in the Megillah is a myth, I suppose it doesn't make much difference.

I'm inclined to agree with you on the Liberal Yarn about the "so called good people of Iran". The mullah's ultimately run the show there, and if a pro-western person were to emerge as a political leader..the mullah's have him killed...publicly. I do not believe that the pro-western forces are a large enough segment of the Iranian population to have any real political clout. They are still muslims just the same and there isn't really a spit's worth of difference between Shia/Sunni/Wahabi...they're all nuts. Can't tell shi'ite from shine-ola

Because the moslems invaded Persia in the seventh century of the common era, and the few z*r*astrians left (the Parsis of Bombay) don't believe in reconverting it, since G-d supposedly puts us precisely in those religions he wants us to be in and we're not supposed to change. In other words, Iran is supposed to be moslem now.

Another Iranian religion, bahai, says that all the world's religions and their scriptures are all simultaneously valid. The Iranians seem to have invented western religious liberalism.

Why does the United Nations still exist, especially with "neocons" now joining the "palaeos" in their original anti-UN position? Can you get any more ecumenical than that?

I have met, and traveled with, two girls from Iran (while I was traveling in Turkey).

They were quite leery of me at first because I was an 'American' from the Great Satan. As we got to know each other better communication increased.

They both said that they could never stand to live in Iran again because of the conditions there... once they had lived in a open society it would be impossible to go back. They went back different times to visit - but as far as I know they never went back to live in Iran - and they left about 5 years ago.

They were and are just ordinary citizens.... how much power to you think they had over their government?

How much power do you have over our government?

Do you think you would try to speak out if you KNEW that you would be arrested or worse for speaking out?

So they keep their head down and try to live their life as best they can. They hope, and dream for a better day.... but there is very little they can do other than leave.... and they can only leave if they are lucky.

No , I really think there are millions of them. Many are right here in America , they bailed when the mega-ragheads took over, and since then. But even in country . They are so cowed they basically fear to raise up their heads . That may not be the case if one day they found out the entire leadership
had gone up in flames at some conference and the top radical mullahs had been picked off one by one thereafter . Add to that several US Armored Divisions parked on the border and
flights of B-52's (etc) hovering nearby.
Millions of Iranians might take their country back if we really backed them , like we should have backed up the Iraqis & Kurds in 91'.
Iran is at war with us already in Iraq ,they are no doubt supplying all kinds of things that are killing our people every day. Why not give them the sucker-punch of all time while we can ? Pay back is long over due!
I say , don't wait for Israel to steal the show on this one.
Only the USA can bring about regime change in Iran , and to hell with what the world thinks.....

Lunatic Fringe
I know you're out there
You're in hiding
And you hold your meetings
We can hear you coming
We know what you're after
We're wise to you this time
We won't let you kill the laughter

Lunatic Fringe
In the twilight's last gleaming
This is open season
But you won't get too far
We know you've got to blame someone
For your own confusion
But we're on guard this time
Against your final solution

We can hear you coming
(We can hear you coming)
No you're not going to win this time
We can hear the footsteps
(We can hear the footsteps)
Way out along the walkway
Lunatic Fringe
We know you're out there
But in these new dark ages
There will still be light

An eye for an eye
Well, before you go under
Can you feel the resistance
Can you feel the...thunder

How come the Islamic leaders never say their intentions are to be friends with Israel instead of sounding like a bunch of Hitlers? Isreal never says it wants to destroy all the Islamic people. It simply wants to keep its own country which is not unreasonable at all.

"Nuke me now!" Yep, that's what he's saying. Or something like it. To be successful in his new role, he Iran must be under attack. That's the only way he can get the people firmly behind him. Ayatollah Komeini blessed the war with Iraq -- without it, he would have lost his grip on the country. This guy is hoping for the same darn thing, and for exactly the same reason, in my opinion. Should we give it to him? (Do we dare not to?)
