NEW YORK The Rev. Al Sharpton has asked for an apology from Cartoon Network for an episode of edgy animated series "The Boondocks" that shows the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. saying the n-word.
"Cartoon Network must apologize and also commit to pulling episodes that desecrate black historic figures," Sharpton, a civil-rights activist and former Democratic presidential candidate, said in a statement Tuesday.

I was LMAO!
Al, baby, you need to go on a diet. All that pork is causing your stupid factor to peak.
*YAWN*
I wonder if Al considers Tawana a "black historical figure?"
WHOA...tap the breaks there AL!!!
What about this "first amendment" that you guys are always dragging out..whenever anyone complains about Harry Belafonte, or Cindy Sheehan, or Danny Glover??
Al would make a great Boondocks character.
Whoops...breaks=brakes sorry!
Note to Al: I really do not care what you think. You are a professional racist, so why should I care?
Free speech and if you don't like it change the channel like the Libs keep throwing at us.
Al probably IS a Boondocks character....
So he has a problem with MLK saying the "n-word," but not with him denying the essential doctrines of the Christian faith, as he did in his lifetime. Huh.
I saw this episode, it wasn't offensive at all. MLK was watching television, and there was some rap music on with people acting like idiots and using the N-word here and there. He was disgusted at what his world had become in his absense. The storyline was that he didn't die, that he was in a coma for all these years, and then came back and saw this. It was nearly "touching". I'm a huge MLK supporter incidentally, and not a detractor.
Boondocks is racist hate-whitey crap. Al should love it. maybe he just wants a cut.
I recently heard Sean Hannity refer to a fast Sharpton went on, in which he still ate things like cake. Does anyone know what he's talking about? I've never heard about this.
"I recently heard Sean Hannity refer to a fast Sharpton went on, in which he still ate things like cake."
I can envision that.
Al Sharpton is one of the great burdens the Democrats have to carry................he just thinks he is the head ******and he ain't!
