If it is Hillary vs McCain it will be Hillary vs McCain vs Tancredo.

When you consider how the Left lives or dies based on polling results, that 51% figure should be pretty depressing to them.

The best thing about a Hillary nominatin will be to watch all the angst in DUmmieland. They are convinced that Karl Rove is plotting to make her the Democrat nominee.

Nice post, as always Mia.
America has grown weary of the Clintons, the Gores, the Kerrys, the Kennedys. The only support these people have are special interest groups, and there aren't enough of them to vote these people back into office. I look forward to 2008 almost more than I did 2000 and 2004.

Can we pass a law making physicians assisted suicide available to all Democrats?

Gallup is no rightwing tool. Someone up there on the Left want to rid the party of miss hillary, methinks.

I was somewhat taken aback by both the "51%" figure, and the "definitely will not vote" category.
I mean, jeez! Hillary has 90% of the Jackal Pack Press in her corner, most of the entertainment industry shilling for her, and she cannot get better spin than that? How the mighty have fallen...

This 51% tracks perfectly with the nine months of tracking on this question done by Rasmussen. He had it in the high 30s for a while then it started upward. The last numbers from December were in the low 40s. I believe the jump is a natural occurrence because the reality of a beast whitehouse is now a calendar year closer. The only down side is that it might cause her to not get the nomination. We want her to run so we can turn our efforts toward working on electing more down ballot people.

Chances are, those 51% are not going to change their minds about Hitlery. Once you can't stand a candidate, it's real hard to put a check next to their name on a ballot.
