"he said. "British and U.S. intelligence services should avoid interfering in our affairs."

Tell it to 'palestine' and Syria!

Probably with an accuracy of +/- 50 km.

They have GPS aided guidance Even if they didn't, the missiles they fired at Iraq during their war in the '80s were more accurate than that. According to GlobalSecurity, which is usually fairly accurate, the CEP is 190 meters. Without the GPS aided inertial guidance, it was several kilometers. However with nukes or chemical weapons, even a few kilometers may be "close enough".

OTOH, the Israelis have demonstrated the Arrow missile's ability to intercept a target flying a Shahab-3 profile.

And our own Patriots have been much improved since the first Gulf War, they too have shot down targets flying MRBM profiles.

Yeah the PAC 3 is excellent now as well as the israeli arrow. Iran has no idea what it is up against.

I think we should very publicly ship Atomic Annie, the first artillery gun to shoot a nuke round off, to Iraq. Put her facing the biggest Iranian city within range and have rounds with the symbol for nuclear around her for the reporters to take pictures of.

Just to give Iran the message that we will not play around.
Heck someone should leak a story that we are working on reactivating the battleships for the Persian Gulf as well.

I think you're right. Who are the rebels the Iranians are talking about? Are they secular and loyal to the Shah and his decendants?

IIRC, they are mostly an Arab minority in the region that produces most of Iran's oil.

I'm sure there are also followers of the deposed Shah's son (who publicly called for US intervention in Iran just after the fall of Baghdad).

There are also scattered university protesters who want a more Western oriented Iran.

Probably a lot of people who just don't want to get nuked by Israel as well.

That would work of course, but we are not going to do that. Ever. Despite any hoping for it.

What's the matter? You can dish it out but you can't take it? You think we're just going to sit by while you infiltrate terrorists and IED devices into Iraq? Nice try.
