KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Reuters) - In Wichita, Kansas, abortion rights supporters held a "chili for choice" fund-raising dinner. In Pierre, South Dakota, they plotted strategy in the "Back Alley" meeting hall. And in Minneapolis, volunteers led women past protesters into an abortion clinic.
It was just a typical week in Middle America where the decades-old debate over abortion rights has become a full-blown battle. But even as they continue to raise money and march around state capitols, the view from the pro-choice side is this is a fight they are losing.
The expected Senate confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court of conservative jurist Samuel Alito, who is favored by anti-abortion advocates, is seen as a key turning point. Yet it is only the latest in a series of blows to abortion rights advocates.
The pro-choice groups find themselves facing a virtual avalanche of state legislation that ranges from laws banning abortions in almost all circumstances to laws limiting the disbursement of birth control and restricting sex education.

Pro Life vs Pro Choice eh?
Why isn't it Pro Life vs Pro Death?
The wheel is turning. It's time for them to go.
The pro-abortion side is loosing support because they chose to abort a lot of potential supporters.
Pro-lifers tend to give birth to more pro-lifers.
Only because liberals make it a political battle because it is all they have for political ammo.
Abortion. Gone the way of "global warming"!!
I'm waiting for them to answer the question when life begins. The whole premature baby thing kinda knocks their feet out from under them.
It's extremely aggravating dealing with people that won't even fess up on what they believe the tenets and pivotal underpinnings of their beliefs are. But hey, libs are just polemical weasels, that's all there is to it.
every infant born with a majority of it's parts intact is "pro life"
I agree and that is what they should be called. Pro-baby death.
And maybe demanding things like partial birth abortion and the belief that a teen who cannot get an aspirin from a school nurse without parental consent but can get an abortion probably does not help their cause
It's inevitible -- Roe Will Be Over-turned.
The the battle will move to the individual states, where it constitutionally always belonged.
I wasn't aborted, I was adopted. Strong drugs killed my second child, But saved my wife's life. My daughter wasn't aborted, she was adopted too.
Just trying to gin people up again, the MSM and their "pro-choice" friends. With new treatment (so-called Plan B) they can micro abort with chemicals ("morning after pill"). The pro-abortion crowd is doing fine while they whine and tell us they're "stuck in the briar patch."
And all I can say to that is: "AMEN." No more babies will be MURDERED! Thank GOD!!!!!
BTTT
A bunch of lefties that I go to school with insist on calling pro-life "anti-choice." I respond by calling them "anti-life." Makes sense.
Me thinks that it won't be too much longer before "We the People" are looking back on pro choicers with the same disgust that we look back on pro slavers.
Now the rights of babies will be number one priority since they didn't have any choice when it came to conception. The adults involved did.
46,000,000 innocent human lives gone...
