Well .. Abramoff was registered as a Republican. I would therefore presume he would donate personally to repubs. That's not a crime .. and that money is actually not what the issue is.

The issue is the tribes who donated to congress people who voted a certain way in order to get those donations.

In that regard, the dems are in it up to their eyeballs.

It's just the RNC style - if you don't like it, you can drop them a note and tell them .. you are not alone. Maybe if they get enough people complaining about it they will change it.

You would be correct.

The problem for Dean with that analogy is that the personal money from Abramoff IS NOT UNDER INVESTIGATION.

The money being investigated is the money donated by his clients - the tribes.

What's with the initial caps on every word? Very distracting.

Thanks for your comments.]

There are a lot of good people in congress - and not ALL of them take bribes. And I agree with your premise - supporting a politicians' views is not extortion or corruption.

And .. did you hear that DeLay has been notifed that HE IS NOT THE FOCUS of their investigation into Abramoff.

Again .. the dems picked on the wrong person.

These are the people who communicate with their cell phones. They already don't know how to spell - and this shortcut version suits them just fine.

I appreciate those who take the time to use punctuation and proper grammar .. although we all make our slip-ups.

I honestly can't understand the contention that Dems never took money from Abramoff. What are the Dems trying to prove?

They are using the FACT that Abramoff never PERSONALLY gave any dems money. But .. that money is not under investigation.

The investigation is about the tribes who donated to congress people who capitulated with votes in the tribes' favor.

Well, he was correct it wasn't ONE dime. It was many millions of dimes.

Just like Clinton did not have sex with "that woman" "a SINGLE time". It was multiple times.
