Texas is one of the few states you can get the enviro-whackos off your back. I lived in WA state before I moved to Florida and we had an agressive nuclear policy 20 years ago under Dixie Lee Ray, but then the greens came in and nada more. In FL here I get the impression there's a NIMBY attitude.
The enviro-whackos can be a problem in some areas - like Austin, but not in West Texas.
