KERRY CLAIMS: 53% OF CHILDREN DO NOT GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL Wed Feb 01 2006 10:43:40 ET
Sen. John Kerry claimed this morning on NBC TODAY that 53% of America's children do not graduate from high school -- a claim that raised eyebrows in the NBC control room, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.
Kerry made the comments after host Katie Couric asked the former presidential candidate about Bush's State of the Union call to train 70,000 additional teachers in math and science.
COURIC: He wanted to train 70,000 additional teachers in math and science.
KERRY: That's terrific. But 53 percent of our children don't graduate from high school. Kids don't have after-school programs... He didn't ask America to sacrifice anything to achieve great goals and the biggest example is making the tax cut permanent for the wealthiest people in America. The average American struggles to find time to take carry of families, working two or three jobs... It's a disgrace. He did not tell the real state of the union.
Kerry's 53% claim conflicts with a recent press release from the U.S. Census Bureau: "High School Graduation Rates Reach All-Time High"
And the Census Bureau's own website states: 85.9 Percent Of Americans Aged 20-24 Are High School Graduates. (U.S. Census Bureau Website, www.census.gov , Accessed 2/1/06)
END
Kerry's talking from his own experience.
He's part time senator and full time gigolo.
He's been hittin those raisins again....I tell ya all, they are dangerous....LMAO
There is no place for facts in demagoguery.
Actually he has a man servant to do that.
wrong quote - he said "53% of students don't graduate BEFORE they graduate"
What's Kerry been drinking in his latte? Is someone working for Kerry actually sabotaging him? You can't make this stuff up! In the New York Post, after Kerry called his filibuster in from the Swiss Alps, there was a quote from a Republican "operative" that said something like: "If John Kerry didn't exsist, Karl Rove would have invented him." John Kerry is a walking political disaster.
I'm not even going to ask if Ms. Sunshine called him out on this.
And a gallon of milk costs $18.59
He doesn't even know how the pheasants live. He thinks "under glass" is their normal appearance.
Ya gotta be 21 to legally buy alcohol, so technically, 18 isn't yet the age one reaches majority.
Kerry, not even technically right.
If you count listening to Senator Filibluster blather as a "job", that sounds right.
What about the above (or below?) average American? Do they work 4 or 5 jobs?
COURIC: You're not from this planet, are you, Senator?
They don't get away with anything anymore, and no one forgets. The MSM is no longer in control of what we see and hear. The Dan Rathers ("We control whats news and whats not!") of this world are irrelevant.
Be quiet, John. Put on you happy hat and go snowboarding.
Kerry may be partially correct but is too "removed" [to be kind] to realize it. Today's H.S. graduates are functional illiterates poorly versed in reading, writing, reasoning, arithmetic, history, science, geography and so on.
Sure hope he runs in 2008.
I'm sure he thinks you buy milk at the pump.
