"Weapons of mass destruction are here in our own country and we have to cease fire,"
I think she has flawed intelligence.

Police Chief William McManus represents the stone age revisionists and the criminals themselves.

LOL, they can get 3 times that price on the street easy. These people aren't going to do this unless it doesn't fire at all. If they were serious then offer $1K apiece, they might get a few then.

Money for guns, latest effort to get guns off Minneapolis streets Doesn't work.
The only guys that show up are old guys selling broken antiques, honest citizens that believe this will work and criminals that stole the weapons to sell at these 'don't ask, don't tell' buy back programs.

Not for the junk that usually gets turned in.

If it fires they can. Usually the ones they get are rusted to uselessness and have duct tape wrapped around the grips to keep it together.

They can't "buy back" the guns unless they owned them first.
Two words that speak volumes about the statist mindset.

Am I the only one that gets annoyed when they call small arms WMDs??? I only remember three types of WMDs, Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical... Not 9mm handguns and AKM semi auto clones.... Sheesh.
By their rhetoric I have quite the WMD arsenal going in my gun safe..

We have a pretty good DA even though he is a Democrat. However, he has an assistant DA who is rabidly anti-firearm. had Grand Jury duty once, that is where I met her - Ashley is her name. She drools at the thought of destroying a weapon.
They tried a guns for cash thing in the city of Mobile once. We saw a picture of what they got. Junk, all junk. You could maybe get $10.00 for the scrap metal for the whole lot.
They didn't publicize it much because it was such a failure.

Minneapolis: Turning gun theft into a legitimate business!
or - Minneapolis: Encouraging the criminals to steal the guns we can't confiscate!
In all seriousness though, does anybody have information on the frequency of gun thefts during "gun buyback" programs? I'm guessing there are some thieves who could make a -- pardon the pun -- killing on this project!
