The Willie Horton commercials used by supporters of George H.W. Bush in the election of 1988 was claimed to be racist.

Al Gore was behind the Willie Horton attacks on Dukakis.

Oh dear, you sound terribly bitter...

Get over it!

Here's the only response you need: who voted to enact the Civil Rights Act? Republicans. Who voted to provide an atmosphere of low taxes and limited government involvement to fuel the economy of the south? Republicans. Who appointed blacks to the highest cabinet offices and courts in the US? Republicans.

Who wants to keep blacks on the government plantation of dependence? Democrats.

Bye!

When did you reach your delusional peak dear, and why aren't you asleep, young Troll?

You are a classic example of a bad public school education.

Your eager use of racial epithets and slurs are the giveaway that you're a child, what... about 13 years old?

Go wash your mouth out with soap and come back when you have read an accurate History book.

For crying out loud.

It would appear that the Republican Party has conspired to disqualify 1 million Black votes nationwide in both the 2000 and the 2004 elections. That would mean that the Southern Strategy is not only still in use, but also in use at a far more extensive level than in previous elections. It would also mean that the Republican Party has broken some serious laws…

However, I make my own guesses and, now, you must make yours.

My guess is you copied and pasted this garbage from the DUmp. What is you screen name there - FloridaPat?

Quivering moonbats wonder: "How will YOU know when it's time to GET OUT OF THE USA?"

Just go back to the DUmp and cry with your other DUmmies.

There is so much inaccuracy and drawing to conclusions in that wikipedia article that I wouldn't know where to start arguing the points. The southern strategy was never about racism (although in some districts it did devolve to that). People forget that a larger percentage of the Republican party had supported the civil rights act. The southern strategy was more about targeting an area of the country that LBJ wasn't.

Incidentally, people should go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Southern_strategy and voice their opinion on this matter. Its a high profile sight and they got it all wrong.
