What a Party!
by John Hinderaker
This hilarious account is from the New York Post's Page Six gossip column. The item is titled "Booted From Forbidden Aisle": Reps. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.) and Cynthia McKinney (D.-Ga.) got to the floor of the Capitol early and staked out seats reserved for Democratic senators. "Since none of these Democrats over there [in the Senate] filibustered Alito, why can't we have these seats?" Jackson argued. "That makes sense to me," McKinney replied, according to Roll Call columnist Mary Ann Akers. "Jackson went back to his office, leaving McKinney to protect the seats until showtime," the D.C. weekly reports. "Three hours after Jackson got back to his office, though, his cellphone rang." It was a "frantic" McKinney saying that sergeant-at-arms staffers were kicking her out of the seats. Jackson rushed to the floor and argued for "a few tense moments," but Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) prevailed. Jackson told Roll Call he needed his face on TV.... I think one of the Republicans' real problems is that it's too easy to look good compared to the Democrats. For the country's sake, that isn't a high enough standard. Fighting for aisle seats at the SOTU.......ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!
Life certainly isn't fair when JJ sr screams racism at a beer company and they hand over at least two distributorships, to JJ's sons.
Life certainly isn't fair to those who don't give money to the Rainbow Coalition.
Nope. It doesn't suprise me either.
They are the Party of "It's all about me, now I'm telling Mom!"
Well, they did say he, "was dumb as a box of rocks" also. That's pretty true to form and almost a guarantee that he'll kick their asses.
re lost episode of Pigs in Space....
...Which was much more intelligently written than most of the DNC talking points. HRC is an insult to the beauty and talent of Ms. Piggy, and with a tenth of the sincerity. Also,Ms Piggy has better legs, but then again, who doesn't?
Enjoyed the flashback to one of my favorite shows.
FYI, I organized a FReep of a McKinney event 3-4 years ago. You can find the reports if you dig around on my link page. I really hate the woman, crossed party lines to vote in the Dem primary in 2002, when we got rid of her for 2 years.
I live in Washington State and I've got no love for her. When you all bounced her, it made my day. I think she's a crook and a traitor.
Jesse feels that since Detroit is "Motown", only groups from Motown should have been asked to play during the Super Bowl...
Yes, crook and traitor sums it up pretty well.
Never fear ToL, the last thing they tried to pin on George Allen was that he was an old southern family confederate. They didn't realize that he was born in California and his father is a famous football coach.
They are having fits with him because they only have personalities in their party. They don't have any winning ideas.
If hair is their most important qualification for president, they could always run John "Breck girl" Edwards against Allen. I for one would enjoy seeing them out of the white house for another eight years.
Thanks for the ping!
:-) I certainly did not intend to include Miss Piggy as a Dim.
I think that red was a popular color for women. I don't know for sure, but I think that some women on the R side wore red.
It's a flattering color. But in the context of sprawling over the aisle to get a shot with the President, your point is well taken
He does have much in common with WJC, but I would like to say that we have yet to have a black President.
You're welcome, Alamo-Girl!
LOL! Yes, the father gave the son a lot of his character.
So the worst they have on George Allen is they 'think' he wears a toupe'?
