now how cool is this transaction? not only do we overpay heavily for oil, but soon we can overpay for nuclear fuel too. the future is bright.

technology.....

Think about how many systems worldwide run on Intel or AMD processors, and how many of them run Windows...

Our aerospace technology is unrivaled. Maybe in the lab it's close, but nobody can produce...

Our Navy is as large as the navies of the next 17 largest countries combined.

We lead the way in UAV (though many other countries have them). We will be the first country with UAV fighters, despite protests of the Air Force pilots.

We lag in robotics, but aren't that far behind...

Your #7, yes we produce many exotic military applicatons, but so many of the engineers involved are foreigners. BTW, France, yes France, contributes many exotic components to our aerospace systems, especially space systems components. Their technology is first rate.

As far as microprocessors, we do produce most of them, but they are assembled overseas. The motherboards are primarily foreign designed and manufactured, so are many of the chipsets that support those microprocessors.

Do you pay more than the market price?

Mainly because we want to sell these things to European markets, and if we don't include them, they will produce their own stuff (which they do).

I just don't buy Toshiba, not after they got kicked out of the US for 7 years for selling technology to the USSR.

If it says Toshiba on the outside, its not on my buying list.

Now I do know that some chips say Toshiba on the inside.

This is pathetic. The only nation who has ever been nuked believes in nuclear power more than we do. Instead of oil execs, why isn't Congress dragging the radical environmentalists into hearings over how they have crippled our energy independence? It might as well say "In Greenpeace We Trust" on the back of our money. What the hell is wrong with us?

Yeah, all financed by Chinese purchases of Treasury bonds. See the problem?

Their $3,000 DVR laptop is the best on the market.

Doesn't matter if they put the best stuff in all the world and under the best price. Toshiba will not get my money.
