Donald Rumsfeld Warns Against Islamic 'Empire'

Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld is warning that Western countries must increase their defense budgets in order to prevent the rise of a "global extremist Islamic empire" that could be as deadly as Hitler's Third Reich.

Speaking at a global security conference in Munich on Saturday, the U.S. defense chief said that Islamic radicals "seek to take over governments from North Africa to Southeast Asia and to re-establish a caliphate they hope, one day, will include every continent.

"They have designed and distributed a map where national borders are erased and replaced by a global extremist Islamic empire," he added.

Rumsfeld urged Western leaders not to delude themselves about the growing threat, saying: "We could choose to pretend, as some suggest, that the enemy is not at our doorstep . . . But those who would follow such a course must ask: what if they are wrong? What if at this moment, the enemy is counting on being underestimated, counting on being dismissed, and counting on our preoccupation."

The remarks echoed his comments the day before in an address to the National Press Club in Washington, DC, where Rumsfeld warned that radical Islamists "have designed and distributed a map where national borders are erased and replaced by a global extremist Islamic empire."

He cautioned that "that this is not war between the West and the Muslim world" but instead primarily "a struggle between the relatively small fringe groups of extremists -- violent extremists -- who seek to hijack an ancient religion against the overwhelming majority of Muslims."

Still, the U.S. defense chief warned that the rise of Islamofacism could by just as deadly as Nazi Germany and the early decades of the Soviet Union:

"During the 1920s, few people took seriously what some characterized as the mad ravings of a failed painter's book, Mein Kampf," Rumsfeld said. "Similarly, most people earlier ignored the excited utterances of an exiled lawyer -- a so-called rabble rouser -- named Lenin, who had published the pamphlet, 'What is to be Done?'

"But imagine," he posited, "if we could go back today, knowing what we know now about Adolph Hitler and Lenin, to warn the world about those two individuals before they spawned their movements and before literally tens of millions of human beings on this earth were victims -- were killed?"

He said: Pledge me your children. He said: The son of one of us may abuse us saying that he was pledged for two wasqs of dates, but we can pledge you (cur) weapons. He said: All right. Then Muhammad b. Maslama promised that he would come to him with Harith, Abu 'Abs b. Jabr and Abbad b. Bishr. So they came and called upon him at night. He came down to them. Sufyan says that all the narrators except 'Amr have stated that his wife said: I hear a voice which sounds like the voice of murder. He said: It is only Muhammad b. Maslama and his foster-brother, Abu Na'ila. When a gentleman is called at night even it to be pierced with a spear, he should respond to the call. Muhammad said to his companions: As he comes down, I will extend my hands towards his head and when I hold him fast, you should do your job. So when he came down and he was holding his cloak under his arm, they said to him: We sense from you a very fine smell. He said: Yes, I have with me a mistress who is the most scented of the women of Arabia. He said: Allow me to smell (the scent on your head). He said: Yes, you may smell. So he caught it and smelt. Then he said: Allow me to do so (once again). He then held his head fast and said to his companions: Do your job. And they killed him.

APOSTATES TO BE KILLED BY UNSPECIFIED BELIEVERS:

HADITH Sunan Abu Dawud [14:2526] Narrated Anas ibn Malik:
The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: Three things are the roots of faith: to refrain from (killing) a person who utters, "There is no god but Allah" and not to declare him unbeliever whatever sin he commits, and not to excommunicate him from Islam for his any action; and jihad will be performed continuously since the day Allah sent me as a prophet until the day the last member of my community will fight with the Dajjal (Antichrist). The tyranny of any tyrant and the justice of any just (ruler) will not invalidate it. One must have faith in Divine decree.

The Prophet engaged me when I was a girl of six (years). We went to Medina and stayed at the home of Bani-al-Harith bin Khazraj. Then I got ill and my hair fell down. Later on my hair grew (again) and my mother, Um Ruman, came to me while I was playing in a swing with some of my girl friends. She called me, and I went to her, not knowing what she wanted to do to me. She caught me by the hand and made me stand at the door of the house. I was breathless then, and when my breathing became Allright, she took some water and rubbed my face and head with it. Then she took me into the house. There in the house I saw some Ansari women who said, "Best wishes and Allah's Blessing and a good luck." Then she entrusted me to them and they prepared me (for the marriage). Unexpectedly Allah's Apostle came to me in the forenoon and my mother handed me over to him, and at that time I was a girl of nine years of age.

HADITH Sahih Bukhari [7:62:64] Narrated 'Aisha:
that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).

Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him."

HADITH Sahih Bukhari [4:56:791] Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar:
I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "The Jews will fight with you, and you will be given victory over them so that a stone will say, 'O Muslim! There is a Jew behind me; kill him!' "

HADITH Sahih Muslim [41:6981] Ibn 'Umar reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
You will fight against the Jews and you will kill them until even a stone would say: Come here, Muslim, there is a Jew (hiding himself behind me); kill him.

HADITH Sahih Muslim [41:6982] Ubaidullah has reported this hadith with this chain of transmitters (and the Words are):
"There is a Jew behind me."

HADITH Sahih Muslim [41:6983] Abdullah b. 'Umar reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
You and the Jews would fight against one another until a stone would say: Muslim, here is a Jew behind me; come and kill him.

HADITH Sahih Muslim [41:6984] Abdullah b. 'Umar reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said:
The Jews will fight against you and you will gain victory over them until the stone would say: Muslim, here is a Jew behind me; kill him.

HADITH Sahih Muslim [41:6985] Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews.

ITMT, Islamist immigrants have poured into America by the hundreds of thousands since 9/11. There should have been a moritorium on Muslim immigration AND Mexican immigration while we're at it -- and STILL ought to be. When I said Rumsfeld and Bush were handling this as it should be handled, I was referring to their public pronouncements regarding islam, which I believe is the correct way to engage muslims publicly. Bush is right there. I do, however, strongly oppose Bush's current policy on immigration (i.e. our southern border) since I believe it is the most likely place where muslim terrorists will infiltrate this country. Bush has failed miserably on this point, and IMO sealing the borders should be just as high a priority for the President as is sending American troops overseas to engage the enemy.

One of Islam's main man Moe's most clever ploys, and one that leads me to believe he really was receiving "revelations" as he claimed, except that they were from Satan, as he first said he believed them to be, is that nothing he said was to be challenged without dire consequences.

Many Muslims in the world today don't know much about the Koran or Hadith, but they DO know they are never to take the side of a non-Muslim in conflict with a Muslim, RIGHT OR WRONG, and they DO know that they risk persecution for taking a stand against anything another Muslim claims to be in accordance with Moe and Allah.

The real GENIUS of Moe's body of work, and that would arguably confirm evil inspiration behind it is the denial of the value of the individual...of SELF...which is what all real religions, and Western civilization, is built upon.

The harsh censorship of competing ideas taught in the Koran notwithstanding, the biggest hurdle in getting the message of Salvation across to indoctrinated Muslims is the fact that they have to change their whole way of thinking to understand even their personal value, let alone the need of personal salvation. That is very very arguable, but even if it is, you can't publically say as much. Even if 'mainstream' muslims secretly support terrorism and califait, they don't say so publically. So, to claim that they do makes you look like a religious bigot.

Well, I'm not sure I accept this. It seems to me that we muzzle ourselves with our exquisite attention to multi-culturalism. To point out a true characteristic of a group in honest terms is only 'bigotry' in such an environment. In sensible environments, it is just honesty. Honesty in this regard increases clarity of purpose. I would suggest that avoiding the implications of such honesty is the main reason our elites avoid it--too much clarity.

It didn't really matter that Hitler was elected with less than 50% of the German vote. Enough Germans elected him. So technically, although our war was against Hitler and those fanatical Germans who "hijacked" a "peace-loving" county, normal people called it a war against Germany. In less trivial times, noone worried about this.

Similarly, it does not really matter if a majority of Muslims reject OBL and Wahhabism. If enough support them to give the reins of power in the middle east over to the Wahhabists (and that is certainly the case in Iran and was the case in Afghanistan), our war will be with "Islam" and not with just the "fanatical Islamists who have hijacked the religion of peace."

I understand why the Bush Administration chants the idea that this is not a war with all of Islam - only extremists. They do not want to rally the whole of Islam to war and violence against Israel and the West.
