She isn't one of the 8 that has been briefed into this program.

She's just trying to play this for political points.

I find this very difficult to believe - as head of the House intel comm - she was supposed to have been briefed - I cannot understand why she wouldn't have been.

These stinking repubs are going to get us killed!!

She's a "moderate" targeted by the Dems this election.

The administration will probably go along with her, mostly. Though security concerns would rule out a full House inquiry.

Anyone who screws with our intelligence gathering should be held personally responsible for any terrorism visited upon us.

Get rid of FISA and undo 27 years of Carter stupidity. He had no right to give away Constitutional power granted to the president.

The man was a disaster as president, he gave away the canal, allowed the Shah of Iran to fall by turning his back on him and then the 444 days Americans had to spend as hostages while he tried to appease terrorists, North Korea and their nukes.

A lot of our problems can be traced back to Carter, and today he the balls to get up there and take cheap shots at president Bush, he needs his old a$$ kicked.

Ok she is the lead for a SUB committee, but not the head of the entire committee. Not only that I don't think the NSA program falls within the realm of technical nor tactical intelligence. Tactical intelligence should be akin to battlefield intel, hence the ability of different military units or vehicles. Technical would basically be the technology used by the enemy. Neither would be all encompassing of the NSA program.

By withholding information about its operations from many lawmakers, she said, the administration has deepened her apprehension about whom the agency is monitoring and why.

Oh what the hell - why not invite Al Quada over for a trip through innermost secrets of the NSA and we can just show them how it is done, who we are targeting and what the technical aspects include. What morons we have in the Congress! It is truly disgraceful, having worked with NSA for years this is just incredible.

The 4th Amendment was clearly open to interpretation.

The next thing you know, they will claim the 2nd Amendment gives you the right to keep and bear arms.

I put my biohazard suit on and went over to the dump - this is their headline

FEINGOLD on DKOS is asking we CALL SENATORS about NSA wiretapping Posted by jsamuel Added to homepage Tue Feb 07th 2006, 03:29 PM ET You need to make your voices heard. Tell every member of the Senate not to back down. Speak out against cutting a deal that tries to save face but doesn't save our rights. You've got my commitment that I will strongly oppose, and use every option at my disposal to stop, any deal to reauthorize the Patriot Act that does not protect the rights and freedoms of law-abiding Americans with no connection to terrorism. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/2/7/13346/07203 It is time for Alito Filibuster version 2. Tell every member of the Senate not to back down!

Next time we get hit here at home and the Capitol Hill bozos start weeping and wailing about failure to "connect the dots," We should drown their offices in dots of paper with all their investigations and political posturing written all over them. Sheesh!

My oldest daughter asked me to explain this whole "wiretapping" issue to her.

So I thought about it....

and then it hit me.....

The NSA is a distant part of the military....

and not part of the Justice Department at all....

You see the NSA has two separate functions....

The first is to gather electronic signals of our friends and enemies and decode them....

The second is to protect all our electronic signals from our enemies.

This whole "wiretapping" scam by the liberals is a sham.

They know that no one in the Admistration can tell the american people what The NSA is doing and how they are doing it....

and so they lie as if this was some sort of criminal investigation

It's not and has never been one.
