A former special investigator for the Pentagon during the Iraq war said he found four sealed underground bunkers in southern Iraq that he is sure contain stocks of chemical and biological weapons. But when he asked American weapons inspectors to check out the sites, he was rebuffed.

The military also didn't think it was a good idea to leave guards at Iraqi weapons stockpiles, either.

and what about that guy who tried to get into the car of one of the weaposn inspectors to give him evidence-

Has anyone seen him alive since?

If I recall correctly Hans Blix said "if only he had approached us 'elegantly'"

Doesn't seem like the UN is involved in this.
It would be nice if the MSM gave this some traction, but I'm not holding my breath

It sure smells fishy...

I have to wonder WHO doesn't want the WMD confirmed?

The CIA? The NSA? The UN?

I have no doubt WMD are in Iraq, (and Syria) either.

It has been my position from the beginning that evidence of WMD has been ignored, possibly for political reasons..

The links between Libya's Nuclear WMD program and Iraq (and Egypt) are undeniable.. Yet, the evidence is completely ignored, never mentioned..

Oh my gosh! I can see it all now. Bunkers broken into, WMD found, a month before the 2006 election. Madeleine Albright's worst fears come true (albeit not keeping Osama on ice until right before an election) and the props are kicked out from Dems. and we have 60 seats in the Senate and 240 in the House and the Dems become indistinguishable from the Green Party in their fringeness.

Got to give the NY Sun credit. They are one of the few hiting this WMD angle really hard, interviewing the former Iraqi AF general and investigating it.

If you're George Bush, it must be extremely difficult to know who you can trust these days. Seems like a significant portion of the Executive Branch is filled with RAT partisans out to 'get Bush', even if it means endangering the lives of American citizens.

I have heard stories to the effect that Iraq's nuke scientists were in Libya building a bomb w/ Quadaffi providing the faclities and some of the money, the idea put forth was they were building an pan arab bomb to threaten oil intrests, Israel, or anybody else.
The good news is when Quadaffi flipped, we got all this nuke stuff which I believe we shipped to Fort Knox. Now, why we have heard nothing about this is beyond me.
I sure would love to know why there is such a shroud of secrecy around the WMD issue when the democrats have been pounding the administration for years on it.
If it were me I would be shouting stuff like this and the stuff that General Sada is talking about from the rooftops.

I've been thinking the same thing for years, but I hope the administration is not playing politics with this one. Wishful thinking eh? Yeah, it would be great to "spring" it on the Dems and their like, but I feel this is just too important and in fact, I am loosing faith that even this will be done.

Just what in the hell is going on here with this dragging feet crap anyways? It seems as if no one gets listened to who has info about this. They end up on Newsmax, World Net or Hannity and easily dismissed (I do understand that some are not credible but...)the President already pretty much admitted their was a screw up in intelligence. Why do that when it may be in his back pocket? Something is fishy here...ugh! Bush is my guy but this and the border thing tick me off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I have to wonder WHO doesn't want the WMD confirmed?

The CIA? The NSA? The UN?"

Our government. I know I don't want it confirmed. I prefer it hidden away in some bunker in Lebanon where it is being watched and the Syrians know it.

OK Tinfoil hat time. What is the scariest thing about WMD you can think of other than someone using it on us? To me it is not knowing where it is. Let's say we found it. What would the RATS say? "How do we know we have it all?" "If it was in Iraq, then we would know where it was and Al Queada wouldn't have access to it."

The media would kill Bush over this and IMHO that would gain traction more than anything because add the anti-war element to that and it is political suicide.

Now, we know Bush took a huge hit on this. But Americans that are savvy know that 1) it was moved to Syria. 2) This isn't why we went into Iraq. Bush gambled that this was the best way to accomplish this. The WMD's are out of Saddams hands and are safely buried where they won't harm anyone. And the moonbats get to beat the drum which obnly made the libs look more like idiots.

Gotta love that little man in the Texas weather altering bunker.

At this site, Mr. Gaubatz found gas masks, boots, and an imprint of an al-Samoud missile in the ground nearby a canal used to flood the tunnel.

While I ponder how seriously to take Mr. Gaubatz's account, I have to contemplate the line about the missile imprint.

Such a story is most assuredly intended to impress someone about the seriousness of the evidence, but...

...just exactly what kind of an imprint does a missile leave in the sand on the side of the road?

...and how can someone look at missile imprint in the sand and specifically determine what type of missile made it?

I don't know if I can go with your theory on this one, interesting but your spin to make it a positive..hmmmm

This was a huge embarrassment that caused him to loose a helluvalot of support when the country was behind him. If they found the WMD or said someone moved it out, the Dems would have been cut off at the knees. Powell looks foolish for the UN bag of sugar thing and that reflects on our PRez
