Dad Says His Son 'Damaged' by Homosexual Indoctrination at State-Sponsored Program
Agape Press ^ | 02.09.04 | Jim Brown

Posted on 02/09/2006 5:36:17 PM PST by Coleus

Two Christian parents say their son was a victim of homosexual indoctrination at the prestigious "Governor's School of North Carolina."

The Governor's School of North Carolina describes itself as "program for intellectually gifted high school students, integrating academic disciplines, the arts, and unique courses." But one North Carolina couple is suffering some after effects of their son's involvement in the program. Jim and Beverly Burrows say after their son attended a Governor's School seminar called "The New Gay Teenager," he began telling them he was unsure of his "sexual orientation."

The parents believe the seminar was intentionally scheduled as the last optional one before classes ended in order to leave a strong, lasting impression on the students and bypass any parental notification about the seminar.

Jim Burrows says he noticed a big difference in his otherwise normal son upon his return from the school.

"He [said he] was thinking now that he perhaps was gay -- and of course I was floored by this [pronouncement] and was, like, 'where did this come from?' This kind of came out of left field," the dad says. After questioning his son for an extended period, Burrows says he discovered the source. "I found out that this was as a result of this seminar."

According to Burrows, his son was instructed by two openly homosexual staff members of the Governor's School to question his sexuality as well as Bible passages that condemn homosexuality. And the students were also encouraged by instructors to start a Gay Straight Alliance club at their schools, he says.

The North Carolina dad explains that his son's subsequent struggle with homosexuality has turned his family upside down. "As far as our family is concerned, the damage has already been done," he laments. "There's no way that we can go back and undo what has been done."

Still, Mr. Burrows feels he needs to warn other parents of the homosexual indoctrination his son encountered at the Governor's School. "[I]f I can keep one other family from having to go through this, then all this trouble has been worthwhile," he says.

Sure did. Must have been a retread troll.

BTW, I was passing a car on the way home today and the license plate had the following

IBZ 465

That was so funny, as many FReepers use IB4TZ as

In before the ZOT.

I thought I was FReeping on the way home.

The people of North Carolina are mostly conservative, with the exceptions of Chapel Hill and segments of Raleigh and Charlotte.

I attended the Governors School of NC in 1975. It was an edgy place then too, but nothing about being gay. Then again, it was over 30 years ago. But Governors School did challenge some of our beliefs, which I think is a good thing. The kids there are pretty smart kids (even though they let me in). The school is meant to challenge you for six weeks in the summer after your sophomore or junior year.

I agree with everything you said, but the parents in the story seem to think something different.

I was just refuting the notion that the simple exposure to a distasteful idea is going to turn someone to the dark side ala Annakin Skywalker.

>When you were 15 or 16 or 17, could someone have talked you into becoming homosexual? What do you think they could have said to you to make that idea appealing?<

Gifted kids especially boys often feel isolated and left out socially. If they don't gravitate to sports their are additional feelings of being different.Give a couple of "sensitive homosexuals 24/7 access to one of these kids for 10 weeks and it would be very easy to confuse the young man just by making him think he has found somone who understands.

Maybe you can explain why o hetrosexual teenagers accepting molestation by Gay teachers and preachers. What could have made that appealing?

To: When do we get liberated?

People are not born gay as far as science goes. It is a process of indoctrination and most gays claim to have been molested by men as children or during puberty.

There must be more to this story. They must not have spoken about the gay lifestyle with the kid because a lot of Christians think it is sinful to even talk about it. Also it sounds like a major case of rebellion and the gays know how to plug into and use that energy in a troubled kid. They do it all the time which is why they have their teen sex clubs open to "gays and straights." They try to convert the straights into gays or bi's by asking - how do you know unless you try it. They tell them - it is safest to do it with an experienced adult your first time. (Department of Education sponsored seminar for gay straight teen club)

Also this kid could have been marked as an easy target and molested throughout the week by gay men. They like to pick the kids who are unsure of themselves and they REALLY like to nail Christian kids and actully discuss amongst themselves on NAMBLA how to hit on Christian kids.

I have grossed out both my kids with the consequences of gay sex articles and pictures. I have spoken with them about recruitment and shown them Nambla conversations and articles on how sneaky and evil these creeps are in their desire to corrupt kids. They know about the bath houses; the drug use and all the diseases from medical journals and violence from studies of gay life. They were not surprised when I showed them the article of the guy who died having anal sex with a horse. When the schools approach them as if they are talking about Ozzie and Ozzie, my kids are educated to the contrary in very concrete and scientific terms. They ask uncomfortable questions of the indoctrinators. The bottom line for my kids is: This is why God say it grosses him out - it is an abomination. Warn people.

Parents reading this: You are living in a society that is filled with very powerful adults who are committed to actively recruiting your kids into behaviors and mentalities that will kill them. You pretend that if you ignore it, it will go away. It will not go away. When gays came out of the closet, something ugly arrived and they are demanding that we pretend it is not what it actually is and that it is "love" to be celebrated. They sexually own your kids on their turf and they are hugely aggressive in their authority over you and your kids. Get real. Read the awful truth and warn your kids because they won't find out from the gay "educator."

A good point. They had no right to be quoting the Bible under current law.

"seminars make people gay? Or was his son pretty much on the way to gay anyway?"

No, the truth is that homosexuals hunt troubled adolescents and confuse them and recruit them during their most vulnerable period of development. In this case, the state assists in this molestation.

My youngest and his friends were "gifted" boys and I can't imagine any of them wanting to attend an optional seminar on homosexuality. In fact, it seems to me that they would have to be forced under great duress to attend such a seminar, if they were to go at all.

The only way I can imagine heterosexual teenagers accepting the molestation is (1) they were desperate for "father figures" or (2) they were taught to never dispute an adult or authority figure. Otherwise, I have no idea. Of course, I have no idea why some women allow their husbands to molest their daughters either.

Gender preference is a choice.

So, someone who had influence over you as a teenager could have convinced you to become gay? How?

To: When do we get liberated?

Children go through stages of devolopment. Essentially homosexuals are trying to confuse children into extending the "girsl are icky" into a permanent state of adolecense. (kind of like the Opera Castratos)

There is ZERO reason to discuss a purely recreational sex conduct as normal before children. This was a pure recruitment effort and if anything teaching homosexuality behavior probably violated some parental consent law.

It's just the final step in the indoctrination and the taking of the innocence from the children . It will just be a matter of time before they set up an adult/child "meeting center" at your local scrool. It is almost against the law now to be a boy. They want to give them ridlin and turn them into unics. Now this. We're going to hell. Would somebody please tell me where I can live where they DON'T do this?!?

When conservative workers get their jobs outsourced to China and Mexico, and local Democrats are the ones screaming about it and the GOP says free trade is good for America, guess who the people of NC would vote for? Nationally the GOP is lucky that the Dems have put up so many North East liberals, that the people of NC know better to vote for the GOP. Illegal immigration and economic nationalism will assure the next party in power, issues that the GOP runs away from and the Dems have no answers for.

Homosexuals are seeking to do behavioral conditioning to their prefered sexual fetish.

Look at prisons where an artificial environment causes otherwise straght prisoners to choose to engage in homsexual behavior until they leave prison.

Homosexual advocates are fools since all psychology follows BF Skinner YET JUST FOR THIS POLITICAL EXCEPTION they throw science out the window.

If you reach a child early enough you could condition them to be screaming terrified of Mickey Mouse or associate destructive behavior with sex.

Homosexual behavior is a choice. The homosexual advocates are stuck on a fetish and seek to propaganda all love as exclusivly sexual.

Homosexual behavior is a choice.

So, you could have been persuaded to make that choice, if approached in the right way at 16 or 17?

What would have convinced you?

seminars make people gay?

Probably forced him to listen to Clay Aikens CD's for two days straight. In all series, this is stupid. If we took out the word "gay" and a said something like "Dad Says His Son Damaged by Junk Food Served at State Sponsored Program" would we all be laughing about our litigious society and the the failure to exercise personal responsibility. If this kid suddenly went queer, then it has nothing to do with the state sponsored program. He either chose to go queer, and if he didn't happen at this program then it would happened some place else, or more likely he became queer the moment his mommy's egg mated with his daddy's sperm, in which case dear ol' dad has no-one to blame but himself.

I don't know. I've always found the idea of homosexual sex repulsive.

However, there are a couple of homosexual men I've known since they were small children, and they were effeminate-acting even as preschoolers. So, I don't know if they were "born" gay, or someone convinced them to be gay at a very early age, but they say they never recall being attracted to women, just other men, so who knows?
