Exclusive Interview: Gingrich Warns of War With Iran
Human Events ^ | Feb 10, 2006 | NA

Posted on 02/10/2006 4:31:28 AM PST by johnny7

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R.-Ga.), a prospective 2008 presidential candidate, argues that the United States may need to preemptively invade Iran within the next three years to thwart that country’s development of a nuclear weapon if efforts to inspire a democratic revolution there do not succeed.

"...a prospective 2008 presidential candidate..."

This is a joke, right?

(Like Republicans and conservatives are ever gonna let this effeminate puke dump on us again!)

Newt is a good historian, and smart enough to actually learn from it.

He is NOT, however, a good prognosticator.

We don't have three years to play around.

Iran will be able to make powerful 'dirty bombs' within 3 months, fairly crude but devastating 'atomic bombs' within 6-9 months, and full fledged 'nuclear bombs' in not much more than a year.

Watching and waiting is what we Americans do best.
America was watching and waiting before 9-11.
When Israel is blown away, America will be watching and waiting. When our first, second, and third city is blown away America will be watching and waiting. It is what we Americans do best. We are official wimps.

Newt realizes if we are afraid to print cartoons then we are wimps. Wimps have no desire to take on Iran. Newt said three years because Newt knows in three years much will have happened. Will Americans still be wimps in three years? No, but world population will probably be less than present once Iran does their diddy.

Actuually I didn't read other than what's posted.

I don't care about anything Newt has to say.

He talks the talk, then caves like a frenchman when the chips are down.

I Heartily agree with Gingrich. This country MUST NEVER allow the madmen in Tehran to get their murderous hands on the bomb.. I would tell the Iran Mullahs right now that the US has re-targeted its nuclear weapons and has put every major Iranian city, industrial, nuclear and military site on our radar.

We should immediately begin to increase our strategic oil reserves 50% to 1.4 billion barrels of oil to prepare for a full economic and military blockade on Iran. We should advise Europe to do them same and tell the Europeans that Iran's regime is our internal enemy and that we will not except a nuclear Iran under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

The Pentagon should immediately redeploy it's air and naval group into the Iranian theater to prepare for a full assault. Patriot missile systems should be made available to all countries who need them.

Special forces should be secretly deployed into Iran to prepare to decapitate the Iranian regime.

All assets of the criminal regime should be frozen and held in trust for the Iranian people.

Full covert aid to Sunni Arab and Kurd minorities in Iran should be given at once. An Iranian Government in-exile should be assembled to form a government in waiting.

In Congress the President and our leaders must immediately and forthrightly spell-out to the American people the APSOLUTE NECESSITY TO BRING THE IRANIAN MULLAHS TO HEAL INCLUDING A CLEAR DECLARATION OF WAR AGAINST THE IMPLACABLE ENEMY REGIME.

NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT!!!!!

I would like for congress to declare war, but it isn't going to happen. The war on terror is undeclared, and congress refuses to use the fire power available. No war will be declared, unless multiple, probably 8 to 10 nuclear explosions on our home soil may convince congress to think otherwise, but I doubt it, there wouldn't be time or probably enough of congress left.

Unless you are pouring grout, and need to make a few grout cubes ... (how many freepers understand this esoteric argot?)

Figured a "Slump Tester" would. ;)

Drove a concrete mixer (part time) for many years. As a part timer I always had one of the worse trucks. Blades worn down, etc etc..

On federal jobs the inspector would say add ten more gallons and spin it up. After a few of those I would tell him "you're going to get it soupy, but I'll put all the water in you want ... just sign my ticket first.".

Surer than crap, he'd reject the load, but my ticket was signed. ;)

Just curious as to whether you could give us all an example of this? I'm not saying it's never happened, I just don't know of an example off the top of my head, but it sounds like you do.

That was a great interview. Probably not 1 in 100 who click on this thread will go read it all, but those who do will be impressed with Genegrich's thoughts.

He gets it, and he gets it far more than any other GOP candidate for 2008.

(Like Republicans and conservatives are ever gonna let this effeminate puke dump on us again!)

It's a shame that the average American voter cares more about personalities than policies. As much as I detest his previous personal issues, I say "Amen" to what he proposes.
