Tried to vote but could only get the results which indicate overwhelmingly that he's a scapegoat.

Make sure you scrolled all the way to the right, so you can see the radio buttons. I had the same problem initially.

No matter what answer you pick it can be interpreted as a dig against Bush. Utterly worthless poll.

He's a scapegoat (Bush is the one to blame)

He's a scapegoat but he deserves most of the blame (He deserves mnost of blame and Bush deserves whatever is left over)

He's just whining (Bush is the real villain anyway - why did he appoint such a whiner?)

He's always been a scapegoat, but I don't think it was the administration that was looking up his horse racing background and accusing him of being an incompetent crony. by the way, who put Susan Collins in charge of the senate, and what is wrong with her slow quavering voice?

I have been hearing this clown the last few days and don't believe a word of it.

If Homeland Security prevented him from doing his job, he should have had HS arrest him. Then there would be no question.

He just went fishing because no one would let him acces the city?

Uh huh...

Apart from Jabbar Gibson (the kid who stole a school bus, filled it up with his neighbors, and drove to Houston), there weren't a lot of impressive performances in the immediate aftermath of Katrina. Brown was just one in a long list of unimpressive performers.

Agreed. Yes, he's a scapegoat. While things did certainly go wrong, and I have no doubt some of it must have been on his shouldners, a lot of it was local incompetence and a lot was the nature of the institution of FEMA and Homeland Security. I always thought that they did a remarkable job. I saw people getting airlifted out of there within several days and relocated. I saw on the news last night that many families have not gotten temporary housing from the tsunami in Indonesia. This kind of event is devasting and I still think we overall did a decent job. Not perfect by any means. But competent. And it could have gone a lot better if the elected officials in LA had done their job.

Did anyone ever hire that young man? He's got intelligence, drive and leadership abilities.

Depend on God,
Depend on yourself,
Depend on your family,
Depend on you neighbors.

Depending on government above any of these, and you are in for a fall.

Top sends
