He's an attention whore, what do you expect. I highly doubt the British will give him what he wants, and he dang sure couldn't take it.

Haven't we seen the Falkland Islands movie before? Something to do with the British Navy and Air Force...
Maybe this time it has to do with another young heir to the throne, and he doesn't want to go to Iraq.

Does Hugo the Yugo remind anybody else of a pro wrestler who's entire act is to make the entire crowd hate him?

How about asking the Falkland islanders what they want?

IIRC they wanted nothing to do with Argentina when they invaded in 1982.

However, if it were to happen again, one group would be delighted. The Gurkahs were sorry to miss the action - it was all over by the time they got there!

The outlook is dim
The expressions are grim
On the faces of Argentine men as
The tides of war land
Like a giant's great hand
On the islands they call the Malvinas!

The British now fight
With Imperial might
To change the name back to the Falklands
The four winds all howl
As the dogs of war growl
And blanket these forsaken islands.

The hills now all ring
To the sound of fighting
As victorious Brits stride on forwards
The Argentines beat
Out a hasty retreat
And trample all things to the rearward.

Hugo Chavez is really acting idiotic lately.

Not that I'm an expert, but does this look like delusions of grandeur to anyone else?

Hitler, the speed freak, had delusions of grandeur, so I just kind of wonder if Mister Chavez might be on crank or some other reality altering chemical.

Who owns the Falklands was settled by a war. If Argentina wants them back, then maybe they should try their luck again.

"The Argentine president, Nestor Kirchner, has vowed that the islands will one day be part of Argentina"

Hmmm, an Argentine president with a German surname; I wonder if his family appeared in Argentina circa WWII...

He responded: "Mr Tony Blair, you have no moral right to tell anyone to respect international laws, as you have shown no respect for them, aligning yourself with 'Mr Danger' [president Bush]...."

Silly Hugo... do not you know that Danger Danger is a band?

I hate Chavez, but even a broken clock is right twice a day.

LAS MALVINAS SON ARGENTINAS! Jeanne Kirkpatrick was right on this issue, and encouraged Reagan to stay out of the conflict. Unfotunatly, Anglophiles in the state department decided to kiss limey a-s.

Remember that the UK was about to give the islands back to Argentina, until shale deposits were discovered off the coast of the Malvinas/Falklands. Then the Tory backbenchers went Falklands-crazy, pushing Margaret Thatcher away from returning the islands to Argentina.

Let me remind you folks that, at the time, Argentina was the ONLY nation that truly was doing something successful about the communist guerrillas in their country.
