The fence has worked pretty well for Israel.
I would build a wall of their dead bodies trying to get in illegally.
I think we're starting to polish up the basic idea with your tax concept.
Tax money transfers to Mexico.
And just between you and me and the fence post, I have not read anything about what you just posted so who is lying? Have a url to back up your statements about Perry's dedication to border security?
Democrats Bill Richardson of New Mexico and Janet Napolitano of Arizona. $1.5 million for Arizona and $1.75 million for New Mexico.
The Republicans who speak out are ostracized by this administration. I never thought it would go this far, in so many ways.

Illegal you say? Illegal as hell. But, of course, we wouldn't do anything about it for fear of pissing off Hispanic voters. I'm surprised he hasn't thought of this by now.
The chain of command would be from the local district to the state board and Perry's authority would be his ability, or the lack of ability, to influence its members, who he might/ or might not, have appointed.
As for the question of hiring illegals to teach, that is a legal matter and would fall under the authority of the AG who is elected, not appointed.
Regarding the hiring of illegal, yet qualified, teachers, it is significant to note that the US is importing qualified bilingual teachers, mainly from the Phillipines, as temporary guest workers. This situation of a shortage of qualified bilingual teachers re-enforces the argument that the guest worker program(s) is broken and needs to be reformed. In this case, the quota needs to be increased. The dems/NEA are adamently opposed to this, unless some of the bilingual guest teachers are put on the path to citizenship, as in McCain-Kennedy.
There have been numerous threads posted at FR on this subject.
It is not wise to shout, especially when you are wrong. Perry has moved aggressively on this and is working with the sheriffs of the border counties to address the problems. He is sending a special force of state troppers and Texas Rangers to the border. For some reason that POed the mayor of Laredo.
Get up to date and stop shouting falsehoods.
I will stop shouting when I feel secure living in my own home. If Perry is doing something about protecting Texans and securing the border than he needs to tell us Texans about it.
I don't purposely shout falsehoods or attempt to lie if I know the truth.
The only news I heard was last night and the shootings on the border at Laredo. Apparently whatever he is attempting to do to stop the violence isn't working yet.
Use these keywords for a FR search and you will get plenty of information.
(Gov. Perry troopers border)
You will learn that far more is being done then the NOTHING (caps yours) that you said.
Here's one re the Texas governor:

And can't speak for the gov of Arizona but here in NM, Richardson's "action" is generally regarded as cosmetic.
Thanks. That is one of the articles I had read. Governor Perry seems to be one of the few (only one?) who is doing something and it is irritating for a fellow Texan to say he is doing NOTHING. Thanks again.
Felt the same way - lived in Texas for more than 20 years myself.
Thanks for the thread, I have to agree with 90% of the comments in that thread, gee wonder why my NOTHING comment ticked so many off here when there are far worse things being said on the other thread by many.
Funny how one little word like "nothing" gets so many to get irate in this thread.
