From Europe's biggest-selling newspaper, the Sun: ''Furious Muslims have blasted adult shop [i.e., sex shop] Ann Summers for selling a blowup male doll called Mustafa Shag."

Not literally "blasted" in the Danish Embassy sense, or at least not yet. Quite how Britain's Muslim Association found out about Mustafa Shag in order to be offended by him is not clear. It may be that there was some confusion: given that "blowup males" are one of Islam's leading exports, perhaps some believers went along expecting to find Ahmed and Walid modeling the new line of Semtex belts. Instead, they were confronted by just another filthy infidel sex gag. The Muslim Association's complaint, needless to say, is that the sex toy "insults the Prophet Muhammad -- who also has the title al-Mustapha.''

In a world in which Danish cartoons insult the prophet and Disney Piglet mugs insult the prophet and Burger King chocolate ice-cream swirl designs insult the prophet, maybe it would just be easier to make a list of things that don't insult him. Nonetheless, the Muslim Association wrote to the Ann Summers sex-shop chain, "We are asking you to have our Most Revered Prophet's name 'Mustafa' and the afflicted word 'shag' removed."

Why is this murderous heritage not offensive to Muslims?

Islam is the strangest, most violent religion, wielding the sword, taking offense and seeking revenge to save face.

For the newspapers of the world to agree to be more sensitive to this religion is a waste of time, a capitulation to tyranny.

This is the religion that encourages killing to save face. Certainly not a very Christian religion.

I wonder how many "tolerant" liberals even understand where this expression comes from?

I think it's past time for Hollywood to include a Muslim character in a sitcom, to show their respect, support and tolerance for the Islamic world. They could even make him gay, to speak out for what is probably the most repressed group in the world today, gay Muslim men.

C'mon, Hollywood. Don't worry about being blown up. The Muzzies will understand that you're just trying to make them look like they're part of the gang.

The "moderate" Muslim to me is a myth. Where are these people? Just today on a TV show in Chicago, some female "moderate" Muslim was complaining about the publication of these cartoons.

I say give these people 2 years to take an oath to the US or deport them. We can't let America become another Europe with separatist Muslim areas.

You don't hear much from the Religion Of Peace TM if yokels named Mohammed keep blowing themselves up. Apparently its alright if the name of the prophet is associated with mass murder. But draw a cartoon that suggests the prophet welcomes people blowing themselves up and watch them go berserk. The difference in the reaction has to be seen to be believed.
