Who was that black writer who was an avid anti-gun activist years ago that shot someone in his backyard or something to that affect? I think he wrote for the Compost or the NYT.

Carl Rowen was a famous gun grabber. But when someone was in his back yard swimming pool, he got his son's FBI service revolver and shot him.

At 0600 Central time, a guy came into where I work and said he had just heard this on the Bob and Tom Radio Show. It was sung by a comedian named Tim Cavanaugh.

It just occurred to me that in Shakespeare's King Henry VI, It was
"Dick the Butcher" who said,
"The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers." Granted Dick was being facetious, but Jack Cade Agreed with him. :"some say it is the bee that stings, but I say, 'tis the bee's wax, for I did but seal once to a thing, and I was never mine own man since-"(referring to a legal document)
Looks like Jack talked Dick into it. I don't know who this Jack guy is but maybe if you're a lawyer you should go hide until someone explains to Dick that Shakespeare meant it as a joke.

he got to shoot a lawyer, Yeah, but can you imagine field dressing one? It would be like gutting a skunk. The stentch would stay with you for days.

According to Armstrong's account, she saw the incident from a car while Cheney, Whittington and another hunter got out of the vehicle to shoot at a covey of quail. As Whittington went to retrieve a bird he had shot, Cheney and the unidentified hunter spotted a second covey. Whittington came up behind and failed to signal that he was there or announce himself, which is proper protocol for hunters. Cheney, an experienced hunter, fired his shotgun without realizing that Whittington had approached the group.

Yeah, he shot a lawyer. The problem is that he used birdshot instead of buckshot. Actually it takes a silver stake through their heart at the stroke of midnight.
