LOL....beautiful.
We simply must establish a prize in the category of "The Best Example of Elliptical, Convoluted Thinking" Call it "The Charlie Chan Prize for Inscrutability."
.....and dedicate it to every self-serving RINO in the throes of obfuscating the issues for their own hidden agendas.
Inscrutable ping like fortune cookie placed in already-full box: gets bumped to top.
The facts on the table are these:
(A) Repubs cannot win without Christian conservatives, they know it and we know it;
(B) Any attempt to marginalize Christian conservatives will be met with the facts and figures of Political Life and Death in the Millenium.
(C) Hillary slithers more and more to the right (as an expedient move to co-opt Values Voters), b/c that's where the votes are;
(D) RINO Rudy and his ilk are scrambling like crazy to retool their anti-Christian images.
The inescapable conclusion is that we Christian conservatives are choosing not only the Repub candidate but the Dim candidate as well. Beautiful, eh?
Now, we Christians have to keep Tancredo---- a man among men---and the rest of the Christian conservatives, like Mike Pence, way out front. Everytime they speak, Campaign Ground Zero on all sides grows more and more conservative.
"The Charlie Chan Prize for Inscrutability."
I was sent reeling by a news item earlier today, revealing that none other than Ste. Hitlary Itself was spearheading the move to save the nation from the insanity of handing over all of our critital seaports to a terrorist-friendly regime.
It's all in vain, of course -- as far as results are concerned. The "G"OP is taking such a no-give stand on the matter than I can only presume that the "Abramoff function" (if not "The Abramoff" proper) has probably already cashed the check and there's no turning back. And that is not even to open the can of worms labeled "VIPs who will make out handsomely by selling out their nation in this deal."
So, no, I don't expect "The Smartest Woman in The World" to stop the handover from happening.
I do expect her, though, to pocket a Kaptain Kangaroo-sized portion of political capital via her "efforts" to "try" to put a stop to something that is correctly perceived by "the masses" as an incredibly stupid, bizarre, self-destructive move.
She gets to point out that "The Emperor is naked", even as she invoices the Royal Treasury for "Misc. Haberdashery Items." :)
Q: What do you call a Democrat-driven "Swift Boat"?
A: I don't know -- but when it arrives in port, the harbormaster will greet it with "Selah!"
Argh.
The voters will not be granted the opportunity to forget that, "It was Hillary that tried to save us from this."
Now, we Christians have to keep Tancredo---- a man among men---and the rest of the Christian conservatives, like Mike Pence, way out front. Everytime they speak, Campaign Ground Zero on all sides grows more and more conservative.
Unfortunately it appears that they have not "paid their dues" at "The Countryclub."
With each passing day, Tancredo seems more and more like the Republican counterpart to Paul Hackett.

Oh, sure, he can smile nice and promise peace and security, but once in office I am certain he would bear his fangs and head down the road to undercut social conservatives and 2nd amendment lovers. The media would support him whole-heartedly. He would cause a lot of grave harm - but the media would love him and help him consolodate public opinion. Do NOT be fooled by this wolf in sheeps clothing.
FReeper Sam the Sham brilliantly wrote: Rudy will not get cultural conservatives and guarantees a conservative third party. And Rudy has a mean, petty streak a mile wide. There is a certainty about him that he is God's chosen instrument to punish the sinful. Militant self-righteousness looks like leadership from a distance. On closer inspection, he is a campaign gaffe waiting to happen, like the Dean scream.
Hi Liz !
Hope you are having a great weekend. This was a great thread.
This poll, showing McCain beating her in New England, the most liberal part of the country, would seem to indicate otherwise. Whether or not McCain is our nominee, it shows Hillary is far from invincible.
I would vasty prefer McCain to Rudy, BTW.
Hello, Sam. Thread Was Great ....thanks to a host of well-informed posters who thankfully took the time to add their memorable contributions to the thread. Thanks again for your brilliant insights, and for being on-board. BTW, weekend's fine and dandy.
N-i-c-e take.
Hillary's slither to the right will rattle her liberal base......also shows she hasn't got the right stuff.
Her intemperate "plantation" remarks shows she can't carry the heavy water for the Dims.
They're going to want somebody more polished and electable.
Certainly. I think Mark Warner, or perhaps even Evan Bayh, would be a far more dangerous candidate than Hillary.
You mean dangerous as far as being more electable?
Yes. If elected, they would probably be less dangerous than Hillary would, but it's really difficult to guess.
Rudy would be a good transition candidate for the GOP. Sort of like Eisenhower.
Rudy would win easily, and would smoke out Supreme John Paul Stevens who's trying to hold on through the Bush 2nd term waiting for Hillary.
Rudy's 100% genuine, very articulate and has a ton of accoplishments. He's my top choice.
There's no conservative like Reagan or GW this time. Rudy will be great for the GOP and the country.
