I thought they were on private property. Does he still need a stamp?

Yes.

If someone jumped in front of a car moving at 65 mph in a 60 mph zone and that person dies, does the driver of the car face manslaughter charges?

I respond to your rant about a Quail License, and you retort with IRS! Eminent domain! Gun control! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!

It's all government control and regulation. The difference between us is that I'm consistent - I don't want the government regulating to the extent that it does. You, apparently, don't mind as long as it's regulation you desire:

There are good reasons to slow down game taking in a world where city-slicker hunters outnumber the sustainable population and lakes must be stocked manually. For no other reason, it gives metrics on how many hunters/fishers there are so as to estimate the impact on the critters.

As far as squirrel, my grandmother's only recipe for squirrel was boiling it ... I never developed a liking for it.

"...does the driver of the car face manslaughter charges?"

Depends on his political affiliation and position.

I'm not a hunter so please forgive my ignorance.
Do you need to have a hunting license to hunt on private property?

If he is in ICU, He is under intense watch. That may well be in his favor, Given the climate.
However, as for the death watch thing, I agree to a point.
If he died ( dies) within 72 hours ( or so ) of the initial accident, Then yes, A murder charge is warranted. If it can be attributed to the initial injury.
However, In a case of nature taking it's course, This is a 78 year old man.
There is is only so long one can hold a grudge. Then it is sheer mother nature.

Yes. Licensing, permitting and seasons all apply on public or private land. It varies widely from state to state, but I believe every state requires some sort of license to hunt, regardless of public or private property.

Are you kidding me? I certainly hope that you never accidentally kill someone. ACCIDENTS HAPPEN. MURDER is intentional. Manslaughter is clear and compelling negligence. This was an accident.

This is the same dumbing down that has occurred with blurring the lines between lying and being mistaken. I am so stunned by that statement that I don't quite know how to react.

It's happened. I know someone who was DRUNK and ran across a busy street and got killed and the driver was up on charges. I know a man who was driving his wife somewhere and got into an accident. His wife was killed. He faced manslaughter charges. Is it right? No. It DOES happen though. My main concern was that Cheney not having a lisence but the smoking gun put that rumor to rest. Here's the link http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/0213061cheney1.html

The more I hear about this story, the crazier I think it is that this is such a big deal. The latest were Hillary's comments. I find it comical that Hillary could point the finger at ANYONE who is under an investigation with all the stuff she is involved in.

I won't rule out Ronnie Earl getting transferred to that district but I don't think this will go anywhere on this story. Thinking outside the box, if they tried to charge Cheney with an accident they would have to also prove that the ammo wasn't malfunction, example; too much powder, packed correctly, etc.. Cheney did have a license, like I do, but didn't have the new inland bird stamp, like I don't, but he didn't know, like I didn't know because it is new. OOOPs, I think, I broke the law.

I felt kinda stupid after you answered my question yesterday, saying that they probably kept count as they removed them. I thought, "Oh, okay, the article did not say they were still embedded." Now I read this today:

"Hospital officials said they were not concerned about the six to 200 other pieces of birdshot that might still be lodged in Whittington's body."

I was just wondering how they can say this. Are there not visible points of entry on the skin? Either six or 200? That's quite a range. I don't know anything about pellets. That's why I'm curious.

I've seen that 6 - 200 quote many places. My guess is a doctor probably said it, pretty much to indicate he really doesn't know, and numb-above-the-neck reporters have repeated it verbatim.

You, apparently, don't mind as long as it's regulation you desire:

Get over yourself. Either argue with me about my posts, or broadcast your pre-prepared complaints to "All."

You aren't discussing this issue with me, you're just spouting your plattitudes with me as a target because I countered your opinion of wild game laws.

If you were interested in understanding what "I mind," you'd clearly have read what I wrote as a pro-State's Rights line. My posts have in no way indicated that I want an auto-archichal state where I get to set the rules that I like. I like some state laws, and I dislike some just like you. I like ALL OF THEM that were set by due process as the Constitution requires. I abhorr all of them the the FedGov has unjustly usurped, or that the Judicial branch as decreed by fiat.

Again, if you want to discuss this, I'm more than willing, FRiend. If you're just going to keep deriding me as a toady for laws, then you needn't waste any more of my time, thankyouverymuch!

Please..I mean NO harm..it is opinion.
I mean, In the context of " the noraml man on the street" This may be how it presents. I do not think the VP should be held LESS accountable than anyone else. The law IS the law. If you or I were in the same scenario, The law should apply. I feel very bad for what Mr. Cheney is feeling, right now.
But constructive theory should always be heard.

True. But a regular person would probably NOT be charged with murder. Investigated for manslaughter, perhaps. But not murder.

I am not upset with you at all. I just think we have to be careful about how we use terms like murder, manslaughter, homicide, lie, mistake, etc.

If we don't, we devalue the language, not to mention intent.
