A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos): 2.15.06

The president went to Dublin, Ohio, to attend a meeting on health savings accounts. Al Hubbard, Director of the National Economic Council, answers questions on this topic on "Ask the White House."

Brit Hume interviewed the vice president today about the hunting accident; the conversation will be on Special Report, Fox News, at the usual air times tonight. The vice president called the day of the hunting accident "one of the worst days of my life." Harry Whittington is doing "extremely well" a day after he suffered a minor heart attack, doctors said. He is sitting up, eating, and doing some work while remaining in the hospital.

Mrs. Bush spoke about women and heart disease during a visit to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.

There are some late photos from last night's Valentine's Day dinner at the White House.

These may have been posted -- from the Olympic Games in Italy.

Indeed. It was clear from the excerpts I've seen of Brit's interview with the VP that Cheney is very somber and sad over bringing hurt upon another human being.

People who say he's non-emotional do not understand the man. He IS an intellectual, and a very cautious man with his words, but that by no means rules out him feeling things deeply, or taking his responsibilities seriously.

Yes! I was so happy to see Laura wear that dress again -- that she first wore to one of the second inaugural balls. It's one of my favorites because the fabric is so eye catching and the cut and colors are great on her.

After watching the interview on Fox, I absolutely agree with your assessment. Hopefully, a few liberals and Dems with open minds will finally understand that VP Cheney is an honorable man.

I LOVE that dress! It's very different from anything else she has worn. And that shade is perfect for her coloring.

I think that's the gown Laura wore for the white tie and boots ball just before the inauguration.

I think you're right. I like the fact that she is comfortable wearing an outfit that she likes more than once. She is definitely NOT a Diva! :o)

What a beautiful couple!!! That color is perfect for her and he looks perfect in a tux. Also in jeans and boots - and come to think of it, in a tux and boots. Thanks so much for providing the day in pictures (better than 1000 words!).

Do you (or anyone) have a more flattering picture of that dress? In the pix shown here, it looks really ugly.

Thanks for Dose Gretchen.. I have big time headache & was just about to take a nap & saw the Dose was up..

I agree speekinout..Not her best outfit, huh?

that looks like maybe raw silk.. lovely fabric & maybe not for this dress..She has that lovely red evening gown.. maybe too big now that she has lost weight.

night all..

Appreciate all your work Gretchen.. and eleanor.. I know this troubles you deeply about our dear Dick Cheney.. as it does most of us. Been thinking of you
