The Moonbats are out tonight and howling! Dick Morris, just on Fox, told Hannity that the reason Cheney didn't immediately notify the Royal Dinosaur White House Press Corps of the accident was 'because he needed a day to sober up first before being questioned.'

It just seems that it would take more than a few birdshot at 90 ft. to knock someone down. It just didn't fit with the facts. But maybe that's just me.

Well, I've never been hit with birdshot myself, so I don't know. And I'm not volunteering to find out if it would knock me down. Given that, I'll take the VP's word for it that Whittington was knocked down. Whittington himself was quoted indirectly as saying he didn't know if he was being taken to the hospital or the morgue, which would support the idea that he was pretty much knocked silly.

Medical reports indicate a fair number of pellets and Cheney was glad Whittington was wearing hunting glasses. From the medical reaction, one has to walk away thinking it was serious. As for being knocked down, Whittington was caught by surprise. He wasn't pumped up and charging the shooter. I buy the combination of being knocked down without being "blown away."

That's why I don't watch much on FOX any more ... even bigger sigh!!! They are just re-cycling all the castoffs of the other liberal networks. It gets worse and worse. I watch Brit Hume ... and sometimes even flip from that to the History Channel now ... and, some nights ... straight to a DVD ... we have enough stuff that we start our own "Film Festival" when things get bad enough. We will definitely not be anyone's captive audience!.

I for one would like to see Morris sued for libel.....his assertion was a malicious lie. Cheney has witnesses; Morris does not.

Are you volunteering to test the theory? The total weight of shot is the same, whether it's birdshot or grape. The powder is the same too, so the total energy is the same.
