Ok, this is JUST ME, but if I were to be hit by Dick Cheney's birdshot, the LAST THING I would say would be that this was a sad event.

However I would make it EXTREMELY clear that the only sad aspect of the event would be the press corps' handling of the news.

Sad would not be the way my family would describe it.

I read some of those posts too - i think some of those nut cases actually listened to Rush and believed his satire about it taking 3 days to find a double for the lawyer/victim.

Rush was a hoot and I wondered how long it would take for his idea to pop up as fact on DU.
