DeWine will win. He is not exactly my kind of republican, but he is ten times better than Brown.

Nine points? That can be closet with a registration drive at some of the larger cemeteries in the state.

Brown won't have the pull in rural counties like Hackett would have. DeWine will win, provided he does not commit another monumental act of stupidity, like joining the "Gang of 7."

Roberts and ALito make the gang of 14 move look better. The Dims all hate their members of the gang. It maybe cost his son that Congressional primary, but the Gang has turned out pretty well for the GOP.

Bad as DeWine is, Brown is a Stalinist.

DeWine was never in doubt I laughed at all the predictions that this would be any kind of race at all regardless of who the dems served up as a sacrificial lamb.

Maybe so, but it caused a lot of outrage at the time, and DeWine was considered safe for re-election. That act probably put his seat into play. It probably won't cost him the race in the end, given our successes, but it caused a lot of unnecessary trouble. Between Santorum, Chafee, Burns and Talent, we don't need another seat in major jeopardy.

Dewine's actual support is about what it has been. Brown's support is down a bit. I am thinking this this may of been caused by Hackets supporters momentarily deserting Brown. I suspect they will be back. This is a vital seat for us to hold. If Brown or Strickland (Governor's race) win they will go to the short list of Dem VP candidates. And if they help to carry this most important swing state. WEll, then how does President Hillary or President Warner sound. What ever short comings there may be about Dewines involvement in the gang of 14. We must keep these two jobs in GOP hands at all cost.

I would rather see a seat put in play over doing something like getting judges/justices confirmed rather than over breaking ranks with the GOP. You get elected to accomplish things or try to.

Hackett belongs to the wrong party. He is just learning that the hard way.

No he doesn't. The scumbag, not two weeks ago, repeated the "Bush used cocaine" nonsense on HARDBALL, then admitted that he was just repeating a rumor.

Hackett is an opportunist, with no principles, and no decency.

Anybody hear Limbaugh hang up on the lady who was hoping DeWine would lose in the GOP primary?

As in the Toomey/Specter race, Rush proves that he's now nothing more than a party hack.

"the Gang has turned out pretty well for the GOP."

Absolutely! There are however some die hards on this board who are oblivious to facts.

I think the 7 Dims were sandbagged on that one. It worked out fine for us!

"True, and I feel much better about it today"

I am not feelig better about it. An incumbent is in trouble if he is not over 50%. 46% is about what he has been polling. His share does not seem to fluctuate. That is a sign of truble. We need to get behind him. Unless, we want to say Vice President Brown.

That's true in a poll when an answer of leaning one way or another. However this poll had 17% undecided. He only needs less than a third to break his way to win.
