Muslim immigrants will be expelled from Europe

The Muslims refused to assimilate. They were expelled. This was the story in Europe 400 years ago. We are watching the sequel today.

Europeans are rarely welcoming to outsiders, even when the outsiders are blond and blue-eyed and come from the country next door. When the outsiders are un-European, swarthy and Muslim, they are tolerated at best. When some Muslims also insist that Europeans stop acting like Europeans, on pain of death, European tolerance comes to an end.

In the clash of cultures between secular Europeans and extremist Muslims, there can ultimately be no compatibility or compromise, only loss by one side or the other of the absolute values it holds dear. European capitulation on European soil, where they remain the dominant majority, is unlikely: Europeans revel in their liberty to mock religion, to poke fun at sacred cows, to be outrageous, even to offend.

It's not just European Mohammedans that want to Islamicize the West..."American" Mohammedans want to do the same thing in the US.

I'm afraid that today we suffer from the kindergartner's illusion that "all people are the same", and "not different than me", as evidenced above and by our national policies attempting to export democracy to people who never have shown any yearning for it, and when given, elect terrorists! So you may be right that it'll take a nuke to wake this nation up.

There is hope, indeed. Europe won't surrender, because Europe doesn't embrace change, and because it values its native cultures. The US, on the other hand, is a different bag of of hummus.

Perchance, there could be some that desire dhimmitude. I have much pride in this forum. Islam is a disease.

If we get nuked, our country will change it is opinion of the Chinese or North Koreans very quickly. Or Muslims carrying around suitcase nukes or whatever it is you're paranoid about. But "if" is a weezil word. There are far more realistic threats to worry about than suitcase nukes. Nuclear tipped Iranian missiles make more sense, but what does that have to do with Muslims in the U.S? Spare me the "if"s.

I'm not prepared to give Euro weenies the benefit of the doubt just yet. Creating the legal framework for tightening up standards is one thing. Actually doingit, and standing firm in the face of the inevitable protests and islamofascist intimidation attempts is something completely different.

Besides, what do we (US Conservatives) care if European rally around their humanistic secularism. That hardly makes them ideological allies.

Well, I didn't pull it, so I guess I must have agreed with you to some extent.

What really bugs us is when the same story is posted and there is a very active thread on the identical article being discussed in Latest Posts.

There is no excuse for that.

Your picture plainly shows a meeting of Shi'ite clerics.

Absolute aniconism is a Sunni peculiarity, and the most fanatical of the Sunnis would probably be happy to behead the lot of them, as the hard-line Sunni position (not just among modern radicals, but traditionally) is that Shi'ites are crypto-Christian apostates.

With the reaction around the world in Muslim countries to the silly cartoons depicting Muhammad as a mad bomber continnuing and becomming more violent, it becomes clear that radical Muslims must be exterminated. We need to initiate a modern crusade to eliminate these vermin from the earth. There is no other solution. These creeps look upon non-believers as nothing more than slaves to be killed when they see fit. There is no way to reason with these fanatics. Send them to their maker, the sooner the better.

Yes, you saw the mention of Mariscoes--Muslims who were forced to undergo conversion to Christianity--in the article.

I'm not sure if modern Europe is made of any near such stiff stuff as those who came several hundred years before them, as this article suggests.

The Euros are comitting attenuated suicide with their zero reproductive rate. They don't have the energy or will to expel anything. They've virtually abolished all immigration restraints so they have an imported subculture that will clean their streets and wait on their tables until the pension system collapses. Commentary magazine had a cover story article, "The Islamization of Europe?" Many European countries are now little more than an extension of North Africa. They've become so stupified by their quaint notions of multiculturalism and state socialism that they havn't even the desire to do any real work -- let alone expel the class that actually does it for them!!

I could swear that one of the guys pictured in your photo was out at Sam's Club today.

He had a woman with him but all you cold see was her eyes.

Created quite a stir among many of the shoppers.

They didn't buy but one thing and then walked out.

I wonder if they came in just to see if they could incite a problem.

The man in front of me said "that guy just came in to buy a Pork Pot Pie".

Hey, Michael Savage was kissing Chuckie Schumer's butt on his radio show Friday. Add that to your list.

In Germany, which pioneered the guest-worker program in Europe, a sea change has occurred. "Multicultural societies have only ... functioned peacefully in authoritarian states. To that extent it was a mistake for us to bring guest workers from foreign cultures into the country at the beginning of the 1960s," said former German chancellor Helmut Schmidt. Germany's new Chancellor, Angela Merkel, shares his view: "The notion of multiculturalism has fallen apart," she said prior to her election. "Anyone coming here must respect our constitution and tolerate our Western and Christian roots."

Take note, President Bush.

The point you make is an important one - The Muslims I know are fine (not many) because they have integrated. By definition we know the nice chaps who ought not to get caught up in this.

but we must act or our civilization will be down the pan. And better do it with forethought before some decide to take matters into their own hands and take pot shots at Muslims and begin torching Mosques.

I think it might come to violence in some countries, and we must be prepared to fight - but we must not precipitate it.

I noted this in the article: "In Italy, half the population believes a "clash of civilizations" between Islam and the West is underway and that Islam is "a religion more fanatical than any other."

given the torching of the Italian Embassy in Libya today the Italians will have hardened their views further.

kind regards

May the best civilization win. Helps to check the score every now and then, but stick with the playbook.

This is not a "clash of civilizations."

We have one and they don't.

It's as simple as that.
