Chambering another round..

In a planned move to head off the Administration's efforts to suppress the investigation of the Cheney shooting, Time and Newsweek magazine are planning to extend coverage of the shooting for as long as their creditors are willing to postpone foreclosure.
In a moment of candor, Editor Mark Whitaker conceded, "As long as we have a few dollars left in the petty cash box, we can afford ink. Who needs circulation, anyway? We are doing [the generic deity]'s work...]".

Writer Jonathon Alter's hard hitting piece plans to draw attention to the U.S. Navy coverup of the experimental, special powder rumored to have been used in the Vice President's gun. "Since the BB 'IOWA' has been retired, they have conspired to find a use for this powder. No amount of ridicule will stop Agent Molder and Agent Sculley's investigation into this."

Troubling questions have also been raised about the evidence uncovered concerning a military project named 'Capricorn One'. "We have located traces of Italian gun oil," an investigator revealed, "in a crop-circle, kept in a secret hangar, east of Dayton. This evidence suggests that the shooting did NOT occur in a field in Texas, but rather in a Hollywood studio, where special effects... were used to simulate the staging of an accident which no one recorded on film. The blank tape is about 4 minutes long, and has been reviewed exhaustively by CBS news.

"When will they ever learn," John Dean whispered from his wheelchair, "that the coverup is worse than the crime, itself."

The longer the tone-deaf fools of TOM ( the Tired Old Media ) beat this dead-horse issue, the happier I will be.

Out here in flyover country, it's no big deal.

They see it this way:

We see it like so:

The source name (Drudge) was pulled because the article does not exist there. Where the article exists, it must be linked. And when it is your own essay, attribute the article to yourself.

I kept reading and thinking it was Scrappleface! I knew it couldn't be Drudge.

Actually, there is an article on Drudge concerning the intent of the media to keep the story alive for another week. What material they could hope to excavate, I can't imagine. I assumed that the average reader would understand that such a story was a mockery of whatever pretext that they may manufacture. Since the parady was apparently not manifest, I'll be careful in future not to assume.

I agree totally. We couldn't have staged a better opportunity, even if we had planned for months, for the MSM to immolate itself with the unarguable irrelevance that they embrace.

What I don't understand, however, is why it has taken so long for Cheney and others to grant interviews exclusively to Fox and similar professional, adult, news organizations. By ignoring CNN and the rest of the blow-dried boys, they could have been marginalizing them all along.

Perhaps this latest hysterical, hold my breath till I turn blue type of childishness is what it took to finally convince the VP's staff that the MSM is beyond economical repair, and needs be simply ignored. More veins popped out of foreheads when Fox was handed the interview, than when the initial story went to the little Texas journalists.

Their reaction alone should, in bold block letters, expose exactly how elected conservatives can defeat them. Pull their teeth by talking only to the adults.

It would please Americans immensely, and reassure us all that the staffs of "our people" are at last busy earning their money...

Pull their teeth by talking only to the adults.

You're absolutely right- there is nothing to be gained by conversing with known enemies.
