Those sheeple are the ones that control this country. The powers that be have seem to forgotten that. It is good for freedom when the sheeple rise up at times and forcefully remind the Senators, congress and president where they ultimately get their power. I wish it would happen more often. IMO

There are plenty of illegal immigrants crossing the border. But that's completely different from having illegal immigrants working in responsible positions in a Port Authority, where the workers generally are unionized and accountability is much tighter.

Um, not quite. Anyone they bring in from overseas must come in with a visa, and they can't just being in whomever you want. Our government controls that, even if they own the facility. For example, they'd pretty much have to show that no American is willing to take the job. Quite unlikely. So all we need to do is monitor the visa's, and they're stuck. You are living in Candyland. These people are going to pay $7 billion for the right to manage our ports. They will have hiring and firing power, and they will install many UAE people. Many of these will be Al Qaeda sympathisizers, and some will be willing to sacrifice themselves to kill Americans.
Have a nice day.

I am not worried about those "working" at the ports. I am worried about those that are smuggled into the country by knowing which containers are searched and which aren't.

You are living in Candyland. No, I'm a lawyer who is familiar with immigration law and how things like this work, both in theory and practice. The idea that they can just bring in whomever they want is a fantasy. There are plenty of foreign-owned companies operating in the U.S., and they just can't ship in people from the home country as they see fit. You can get away with that stuff with low-wage jobs on the fringes. Not anywhere where there's any real attempt at scrutiny.

You are "worrying" about something that you know NOTHING about. The Port authority has no clue of which containers have been searched and which have not. it is done on a random level with no notification prior or after. That information remains classified within Port Security and it stays there.
One more FACT; Why would the UAE pay 6 to 8 Billion dollars for the opportunity to attack us, right in front of God and everybody? I am sure they value their country. And of course, they are well aware that we would easily trace the source of any attacks/attacks back to them and in that event would turn a modern and beautiful country into rubble.

Yes the Chinese do it all the time. Illegal immigration from China is a big issue in the West where it just so happens that Chinese company's "manage" some west coast ports.

Nothing is a big word.
You seem to get facts and opinions mixed up. It is your OPIONION that the UAE will not pay $6.8 billion dollars for the opportunity to attack us. It is not a fact. The fact is know one but the UAE, its employees, and Allah knows what someone will and won't pay to attack us. The fact is that there are many people in the middle east that give up their lives daily for a chance to kill Americans in suicide bombings. That is a FACT. If someone is willing to kill themselves for their religion what will they not do? And that is a question.
One more thing. I am not "worrying" I am "thinking". This stand comes from logic not emotion. While the President, Bob Dole, and others can be bought some of us Americans can not.
