These kinds of things are published in France without much investigation it seems, probably accepted by the general public because of a deep hatred for the United States, never mind that it is part of the muslim propaganda machine to incite violence with totally phony stories.

Interesting: I would have thought the closer one got to O B Laden, the closer one got to hell.
I agree: this is what passes for "accurate information" in France. And to liberals.

The last thing I'd expect a prisoner of Gitmo to say was that it was ok....or bad....
They HATE the US too much; kind of like democrats.

If the "kid from Venissieux," Mourad Benchellali thinks that Gitmo was hell, he's been doing way too many recreational drugs.

I love the constant use of the word "humiliation". Even now, I don't think that Muslims quite understand that the West, Americans in particular, don't get particularly exorcised over "humiliations".

In other countries they don't have prisons for enemy combatants.
The enemy gets bullet in the back of the head in a remote field.
This punk can thank God he is alive to tell his pathetic story.
To: Cinnamon Girl
Maybe he would have liked it better in a regular US prison.

This slapdick sounds like one of the faux-SEALS one encounters so often. No matter how good or bad it was, what he endured was worse than any civilian could imagine or endure and makes him, in his own mind, superior and admirable. I think he is as full of sh*t as a OBLs loin cloth.

Much ado about nothing. If this "expose" is supposed to tug at my heart strings, it's got its work cut out for it. I see this an nothing more than overblown, pretentious advocacy masquerading as a human-interest story.
"Guantanmo was hell" because they played music loud and sometimes woke us up and asked us a lot of questions.
My gosh! What HAVE we become ....

...then they turned down the air conditioning...The humiliations were numerous, in particular of a sexual nature. The Americans had prostitutes come into the camp. One of them planted herself in front of a Saudi ...and smeared her menstrual blood on his face.
Somehow being too cold from air conditioning and getting a lap dance don't fit my idea of torture. Would they rather be video taped being crudely beheaded in the name of Christianity and corporate America with the tapes broadcast worldwide on the Internet?
