FORMER US president Bill Clinton has skipped a joint press conference with Foreign Minister Alexander Downer because he was feeling unwell.
Mr Clinton today signed a memorandum of understanding on behalf of his presidential foundation with the Australian Government to boost HIV/AIDS programs in the Asia Pacific.
He was expected to attend a joint press conference with Mr Downer and Qantas chairwoman Margaret Jackson.
But Mr Downer explained Mr Clinton's absence by saying he had been feeling unwell.
"I don't think he's been feeling very well for the last couple of days," Mr Downer said, without elaborating on Mr Clinton's illness.
Earlier today, during a speech to the global business forum in Sydney, Mr Clinton complained of feeling unwell.
Shortly before the press conference at Sydney's Westin Hotel, security staff removed two actors from ABC TV's satirical Chaser program.

I would be curious to see how Bubba feels about this...after all, he has been taking the Muslims sides on everything since Bush became POTUS...
I mean he said that the cartoonists are at fault..and that President Bush needs to dialogue more with the Iranians..
Surely, he couldn't turn around now, and say they are too dangerous to just own a company.

Aussie sheila's are some of the best "flu" you'll ever get.
The "flu" will force one to stay in bed for at least 24 hours.
This info, of course, is all second hand as told to me my my fellow worker who work for NASA there for two years. I was there only for 30 days. So what do I know! :>)

All this flying around the world cannot be good for a man with his health problems. Just the clotting risk alone on a flight to Australia is bad enough.
