I would be outraged if $$$ was going to Jihad schools (even though it kind of does but that's another issue) just like I am outraged that so much money goes into public schools that don't allow for anything but test prep and biased liberal education.

You have merely delayed the problem. At some point the government must decide who is eligible. How do you distinguish who will be approved and who will not and remain within the confines of the Constitution? Yes, the end result of no vouchers is only public schools receiving tax payer money, and these institutions badly need competition, but it is difficult to establish Constitutional guidelines for who gets the money from vouchers.

? I must be missing something here. What she is saying is actually correct about school vouchers, with the exception i don't think the government should be in a position to dictate which private schools can and can't get the money!

If a parent decides to send their kid to the school of Jihad, so be it. The result of irresponsible parents using voucher money on irresponsible schools is certainly preferable to the government spending all of the taxpayers money on irresponsible government schools(ok ok, not all public schools are irresponsible)!

I was looking for this post, because I got the same feeling. Eliminate public school funding all together, give the taxes back to the people and let the schools raise their own funds. Didn't I just hear that UCLA raised over $1B in the last 10 years?

If the schools must be Federally accredited, that will include all the crap, environmental, gay, etc. that we want to root out.
