Self appointed current black leaders are acting like small children.

They are making threats and using every advantage necessary to reach what ever idiotic goal they deem necessary, especially reparations.

Their current wacky goal seems to be to take what many have worked for and spread it before those who have done nothing.

The socialists and misguided liberal enablers at Ivy league schools are now saying that integration of white schools during the last 50 years hasn't worked.

Well one thing for sure, integration damn sure took down many a good school and lowered not raised the values of many students.

Think about all the wasted time, money and lives to satisfy what many say was a debacle at best and down right suicidal for a whole generation both black and white.

By the way:

Racism is a cheap word stolen by a few race hustlers and politically correct liberal enablers and bandied about against any one who tries to speak the truth both black and white.

Jesus said "do not cast pearls before swine"

If you are casting pearls before swine, you are wasting your time showing or offering something very helpful or valuable to someone who does not understand or appreciate it.

The US has cast pearls before the whole world and it seems to have bought us nothing but consternation by those lavished with such goods.

Now those who our high courts mandated as special people are also returning their appreciation by bad mouthing our government and many who spent a life time trying to help them.

Yes, I would say the same. Our college also "celebrates" black history month, but at a much lower scale in terms of radioactivity.

I did notice that almost all the examples come from large schools. I doubt very much if we could stay in business if our black students (or their mentors) really went overboard. Since we basically "buy" our black students--100 percent of which are given discounts of some type or another--and since most professors are perfectly well aware that two decades ago one of our presidents bankrupted the school, I suspect that no one (well, I can think of three professors who would glory in destroying an upper-educational institution over a "cause")wants to upset the applecart.

I have a two-sided bet here: I will bet that most of our black students--who almost to a person come from some fairly grim communities--are very happy to come to an upper-educational institution. That does not mean that there are not divides--about every other year I teach the O.J. Simpson trial and then we vote and it always breaks down along racial lines--but I don't think many have much time or interest in really wild behaviours. That is one side of the bet.

The second side of the bet is that I would wager that most of the radical activists at the large institutions come from either middle-class or higher black families who have the time and money to be irresponsible.

Can't prove it, but I have strong suspicion.

A lot of educational institutions, particularly in the Colleges of Education, contend that every month and every history textbook is white education month and a white history textbook.

This means that "victim politics" gets spread down to lower levels of education, since in some major state universities you have to discuss "white privilege" if you are going to be certified to teach.

I have never really grasped the need of the professors in my profession to destroy so much. As an example of what they are destroying: the emphasis on the fact that women (outside of NJ) could not vote at the time of the founding and that even in some northern states free blacks found it difficult (in PA after 1839, impossible) is hammered away at in textbook after textbook.

Yet, in England, at the time of our founding, only 2-8 % of white men could vote. The English tried reforms on this in the 1830's and 1860's and got the percentage up some, but not much. In America, in contrast, the language of the Revolutiohn helpoed lead to universal white male sufferage by the 1830's and different states began to expand the suffrage to women soon after the Civil War. Of course, soon after the Civil War, the legal right to vote was extended to all black males. Progress, by historical standards rapid progess, has been the course of our History, not utopia. That is used against the US. And that suggests that the US and not racism, sexism, elitism or anything else is the real target of the liberal elites.

Without question. I have been to academic conferences that were rather opulent and paid by the taxpayers and in which "the system" was roundly denounced by the "speaking-with-my-mouth-full" speakers.

In all fairness, most academic conferences are not opulent or even close, but the big schools can really put on the "do" and they do.

"The story, entitled Longing to Tell: Black Women Talk About Sexuality and
Intimacy, is supposedly the first oral history of black women's
sexual testimonies."

Where's the "inclusivity" for Asian, Native-American and Australian
Aboriginals?
There's some racial discrimination going on here.

But I guess I should be thankful. I don't think our Republic could
have held on much longer until the arrival of a detailed
sexual history of a certain select group of females.
end sarcasm)

And now we return to this evening's feature presentation,
which is listed at this IMDB site:

As I have said before, this type of scum is totally free to leave this great nation, I will help them pack.
They are evil, they want our nations destruction.
The thing that they don't realize, is that if they succeed in destroying capitalism, there won't be any goodies to be handed to them.
Instead of just them being lazy and shiftless, everyone would be lazy and shiftless.

"In all fairness most academic conferences are not opulent or even close..."Fair enough.Thanx for your perspective.I was speaking from the standpoint of a former student/employee.The UnivCenter(where i worked)housed the offices and administrators/staff/assistants for the various minority and special interest groups on campus. My impression was(and still is)that the "system" was incredibly wastefull.

Simply put: Just like their Old Media counterparts, the Academia Elites pick and choose what they wish to teach and report. 'History' is nothing more than some pointy-headed Liberal's preoccupation with an issue, be it Race, Gender, or the Environment. The facts just seem to get conveniently lost or discarded in their myopic and simplistic world view.

Another case of Brave New World redefinition of words.

"History" the way Michael Moore does "documentaries".

"And in this vein, I am amazed that my school, The University of Wisconsin at Madison, has not embarrassed itself sufficiently to make the list. On the other hand there are a few days left in February..."

As a fellow Wisconsin grad, I have to agree with you.
