Apparently coercing your wife to a sex club is bad for your political future........unless your Bill Clinton. American would have never forgiven Bill Clinton if it would have been Hillary rather than Monica that he was horn-dogging around with.

I live right next door in Indiana. We still honor the 2nd amendment. Unlike dictator Daley.

All Illinois residents go to the NRA-ILA website and from there look up your reps and then email them or get their phone numbers and contact them that way.

I don't see a lot of Chi-Town denizens finding much to buy in Cabelas.

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember a large number of Downstaters who opened their arms to Blago and voted him in.
IMO the whole state is sick. Too many IL residents that call themselves (R) are very middle of the road and just don't seem to care anymore.
All of Chicago's Collar Counties are now no different then Cook. I wish I had the stones to move. Anyone hiring in South Dakota?

Cabela's is basically a license to print money. Bass Pro Shops and them have brought in huge crowds and also nearby development everywhere they have built a store. Turning away the sale tax revenue this place would spit out is further proof of what a moron Blago is.

Good morning.

They get elected because there are big cities and university towns.

Same in NY.The people in upstate are some of the most patriotic America has to offer, yet they are paying the price for decisions made to subsidize NYC.Gun laws for one.Try opening a business there.First,in comes the EPA for their slice and it goes downhill from there.Permits required for just about any thing conceivable.Your wallet is half empty before you can break ground.Talking to a friend from there,he said it has become the land of the haves and have nots.No more middle ground. Then pay the taxes on what you created.Attorney General is doing his best to shakedown the money men,who will likely move to a more friendly state environment.Good place to live if you are a freeloader.

If you do receive such guidance, from the NRA or from lawyers, please be sure to post to the Banglist? Others of us who also are trapped in blue states would definitely follow your lead. Thanks.

We live in Ogle County, North-Central state. Chicago has been a lost cause as long as I can remember, and Cook County likewise. The collar counties aren't quite as bad, but they're not conservative by any means.
Even with Chicago politics, Illinois has been able to elect its share of Republicans to state office. It's George Ryan's duplicity that has hurt Republicans for some time to come. Blago is not well liked, even among many Democrats. The problem is the stigma that the Republican Party now has, and their inability to put forth an excellent field.
Right now my money is on Oberweis. Interestingly, the campaign signs are now coming out on our lawns. I've seen Oberweis signs but no other Republican signs as yet. Even more interesting, I've yet to see any Blago signs; even along what I call 'Democrat Row' in our town.

These same idiots were against opening a walmart right outside of chicago also.. walmart does have its downsides, however, it will create jobs and tax revenue.

"I could be wrong, but I seem to remember a large number of Downstaters who opened their arms to Blago and voted him in." I seem to recall the same but I don't trust my memory that much. I believe it arose from the George Ryan fiasco.
Blago does not have his base solidified and isn't that popular throughout the state. But thus far there's no one on the Republican side that stands out. My money is on Oberweis at this time. But I DO NOT want to see Topinka win the primary. That would be like going back to the Ryan era. No thanks!

Why would any freedom loving company want their sales tax contribution to go to fund those freedom hating Marxists anyway? They should locate on the Interstate about 1/4 mile into Indiana, and give IL residents a way to flip the IL legislature the bird on both the 2A infringements AND the sales tax! Actually, make that 2 miles across the state line, so the IL state troopers can't sit just inside IL, watch who goes into the store, and find some excuse to pull them over and search them when they drive back across the line.

How do these people keep getting elected? Chicago Democratic Machine + Most people in Chicago couldn't care less about rights as long as the welfare and the cushy city jobs keep coming. I used to think NYC was the absolute worst place to live if you cared about your rights, but Chicago is trying to take first place.
