Mardi Gras in Iraq
Vanity ^ | Feb. 28, 2006 | Lainey Poche

Mardi Gras in Iraq you say? That's right, who better to pull it off than a bunch of cajuns from the Louisiana National Guard! We had a parade and everyone was out there to watch the floats, catch beads, and have a good time...just another event that made soldiers feel more at home. We were even given the opportunity to drink a couple of beers, yes real beer...courtesy of the great folks at Budweiser! The photos are a combination of the parade and the beer drinking in the DFAC afterwards.

This is great.

Sadly, I'm waiting for some killjoy to come by and say how this is inappropriate behavior.

This IS inappropriate behavior - but it's supposed to be. =)

Did the throw beads to the women who were willing to lift up their burquas over their heads?

BUDWEISER is like an angel peeing on your tongue..

Everything else is just yellow, beer flavored water.

Yeah, I hear in New Orleans, you don't get beads for despair...

You get them for displaying a pair

The times change, but The New York Slimes just stays the same...
