Some of our greatest music has come from film. Hollywood didn't disappoint this year. It gave the Oscar to a wonderful and wholesome song for the whole family to enjoy. The song comes from Hustle & Flow and is entitled "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp."
You will just love the lyrics and the music. They have really added something special to our culture. After the lyrics, we have presented a list of the previous winners. You can decide if the *itches and hoes song will be remembered as a great classic along with Days of Wine and Roses, Moon River, My Heart Will Go On, White Christmas, Flashdance, Beauty and the Beast, Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head, Love is a Many Splendored Thing, and When You Wish Upon a Star.
IT'S HARD OUT HERE FOR A PIMP
[Chorus 2X: Shug - singing] + (Djay)
You know it's hard out here for a pimp (you ain't knowin)
When he tryin to get this money for the rent (you ain't knowin)
For the Cadillacs and gas money spent (you ain't knowin)
[1] Because a whole lot of *itches talkin sh** (you ain't knowin)
[2] Will have a whole lot of *itches talkin sh** (you ain't knowin)
[Djay]
In my eyes I done seen some crazy thangs in the streets
Gotta couple hoes workin on the changes for me
But I gotta keep my game tight like Kobe on game night
Like takin from a ho don't know no better, I know that ain't right
Done seen people killed, done seen people deal
Done seen people live in poverty with no meals
It's f***** up where I live, but that's just how it is
It might be new to you, but it's been like this for years
It's blood sweat and tears when it come down to this sh**
I'm tryin to get rich 'fore I leave up out this *itch I'm tryin to have thangs but it's hard fo' a pimp
But I'm prayin and I'm hopin to God I don't slip, yeah
[Chorus]
[Djay]
Man it seems like I'm duckin dodgin bullets everyday
Niggaz hatin on me cause I got, hoes on the tray
But I gotta stay paid, gotta stay above water
Couldn't keep up with my hoes, that's when shit got harder
North Memphis where I'm from, I'm 7th Street bound
Where niggaz all the time end up lost and never found
Man these girls think we prove thangs, leave a big head
They come hopin every night, they don't end up bein dead
Wait I got a snow bunny, and a black girl too
You pay the right price and they'll both do you
That's the way the game goes, gotta keep it strictly pimpin
Gotta have my hustle tight, makin change off these women, yeah
[Chorus]

What an embarrassment! I can't believe this show was considered a family show. I was completely disgusted that this song won.
I am really glad Hollywood did this. It made them all look like pimps.
Interesting to remember that it was initially not rap or hip-hop, but rock/metal music that was the reason albums even started receiving "explicit lyrics" warning labels in the first place.
Dear Doug,How's about"Homos,Homos On The Rump"?
And look at all of the Disney tunes that are award-winning.
I could press a battalion's worth of uniforms with that mucy iron-y...
They gave a black woman an Oscar back in 1938 and Clooney's still bragging about it, even though they didn't give another one out to a black woman for sixty something years. And she wasn't even all black.
This best song Oscar will assuage their white guilt for like two centuries or something. The next black guy to win Best Song hasn't even been born yet. Neither has his daddy, most likely.
I had the show on in the background while I scraped and painted the ceiling. Yep, he is glad to be out of the mainstream. If he had his way, we would not have defeated the Soviets and won't defeat the Islamofascists.
The Oscars has turned into an annual event whereby Hollywood pats itself on the back for opposing everything mainstream and decent in American culture.
But this work is not even on that piece's level. Something's most definitely changed at the Oscars.
If this keeps up: Murder by Deception: Black Genocide, there's a good chance that the next black guy to win anything Oscar won't be born at all.
The Oscar version is supposed to have been the cleaned-up, family-friendly version of the original. Wonder how "creative" the original one was.
Yes, Hollywood, the self-righteous moralizing defenders of the downtrodden minorities and battered women.
Gives their highest award to a song that glamorizes pimps.
Fitting.
well... many of the previous winners are tunes I would not choose to listen to, either
The only part of the show I saw was Dolly Parton singing a fairly religious-sounding song. From what movie was it?
