Pinch is no idiot, but his employees don't have a clue.

Sulzberger knows that the days of print media have passed. Knowing that the NYT is at its end, Pinch has decided to go out with a bang.

He's printing every illegal leak, every lie, every anti-U.S. story that he can get his hands on.

His staffers, due to severe left-wing myopia, think that this is a great plan. They cheer on the NYT as it published stories that aid terrorists and costs U.S. lives in the field (after all, in their worldview, U.S. "hegemony" must be destroyed at all costs).

What they don't see, however, is that this means the end of their journalistic careers. The NYT is going down; print media is going down.

They *think* that they are upset about a few hundred layoffs each year...their dearth of raises year after year, etc.

But just wait until the paper has finally gone under the waves. Then they won't be talking about missing out on raises, but rather, on where do they find work "from here."
