Okay, so we help our fellow citizen. But they must not rebuild in a hurricane zone or flood zone, etc....there must be some stipulations so I don't have to rebuild their home in another 5 years.

However, I understand what the rest of you are saying.

Pander pander and pander some more, and still the dreadful poll numbers; which are well deserved.

He's giving away $150,000 each for wrecked houses worth as little as $15,000 pre katrina.

Disaster piled on a natural disaster.

Good thing we didn't elect Gore. He would have given away the taxpayer's money to the democrat constituency and put judges on the Supreme Court who would vote against the death penalty.

If this is a buyout, it make sense and will be cheaper in the longrun. Turn the area into a wildlife preserve instead of spending trillions to rebuild it.

Sometimes, I think some of you are just a bunch of dopes.

Do you understand anything at all about economics? ANYTHING?

First, note the key word: HOMEOWNERS.

This is NOT a giveaway program for those poverty-ridden punks you saw looting on TV last year. Those people were NOT home owners.

Providing rebuilding funds for land-owners whose property does not contain a livable home, will be a huge shot in the arm for the local economy, and pay for itself many times over in jobs, capital and investment in the region.

Why not educate yourself JUST A LITTLE before going off on the President in this case, or are your knees just stuck in permanent jerk-mode?

FEMA has 10K mobile homes stashed away in Arkansas.
You can't blame Dubya for wanting to make a profit when he sells them to Louisiana.
It's the "free market" housing bubble, stupid!
We're all gonna get RICH on this deal!!!
It's the Chinese who're gonna get screwed, THEY lent us the money to do it with!!!

That's Crazy Talk. What the hell is wrong with this guy? There are going to be hurricanes every year. What happens next year and the next if we set this president?

Article says up to $150,000 each for wrecked houses. Are you a reporter for the NYT?
