Fifth Illinois Hate Crimes Panelist Resigns (Stench of RoP Keeps Driving People *Away*...)

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- A fifth member of the state's hate crimes commission resigned Wednesday in a controversy over another panel member who is a high-ranking official in the Nation of Islam.

All five departing members of the Governor's Commission on Discrimination and Hate Crimes are Jewish.

Four members of the Governor's Commission on Discrimination and Hate Crimes, of which Claudette Muhammad is a member, resigned last week rather than serve with Muhammad after she invited other members to attend a speech given by Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.

Alan Spellberg, a supervisor in the Cook County State's Attorney's office, said in his resignation letter that the commission has been "damaged beyond repair" by recent events and that he can "no longer participate in good conscience."

I have to wonder...is that an adopted name, or does the (more er less) Honorable Elijah's family tree just not fork all that much?

The amount of non-logic in this article is amazing.

This bit of non-logic was my "favorite":

Some former commissioners have said Muhammad should not be on the commission unless she repudiates Farrakhan's criticism of Jews, gays and other groups.

Muhammad has not done that, but issued a statement last week saying she supports the commission's goals of eradicating hate and discrimination.

The Jews will eventually be driven by the stink of the neo-liberals in the Democratic party, and then there won't be a rat left who can think his way out of a paper bag.

When NOI says "end discrimination", they mean exterminating everyone that isn't "chocolate" enough.

I am snickering from the Land of Flakes & Crooks. This Hate Crime Panel saga reveals who does Blago value more - Blacks or White Liberals near his old Congressional District (IL-05). Apparently blacks win out.

His official response is "I don't believe in guilt by association".

Without hatred of President Bush, the RAT coalition is an alliance of contradictions. I might be tempted to vote for full blown Marxists in the RAT primary, and let the RATS squabble amongst themselves as they run IL to the ground.

Governor Blago takes another hit to his credibility. Now if only Illinois Republicans were running a credible candidate.

As I'd point out, as bad as Rod is, as long as he has the horrid IL GOP boobs (with Judy Blanco Topanga Canyon being the worst) as opponents, the turd sandwich may yet beat the giant douche.

Oberweis is calling himself the "real conservative". He is urging Bill Brady and other GOP candidates quit the race and endorse him. Former Gov. Jim Edgar is now campaigning for Judy Topinka.

LOL. Dirksen didn't do much for me. He sold his goods to LBJ for disgustingly small favors, and was basically a hack. But well, given the current situation of Illinois, he looks in retrospect for Illinois, almost as good as Lincoln!

Topanga Canyon is a really cool place to live, particuarly for the young and restless. Pity I missed it.

Oberweiss has got my vote.

Topinka is a pro-abort, anti-gun liberal RINO.

Ev Dirksen's photo ought to be hanging in every Black person's home in America. His work in passing Civil Rights legislation has all been (deliberately) ignored by the mainstream media. They don't make 'em like that anymore.

Really makes me wonder why they would do this then go back to the Jewish community and watch them vote 79 percent dimocRat.

Actually, there were a lot of Pubbie Dirksen's around, when it come to Civil Rights legislation. In fact, the GOP phalanx north of the Mason Dixon line was pretty solid. It seems like so long ago.

Never gotten a chance to see L.A., alas those nasty Rodney King riots ruined my visit the afternoon before we were set to leave La Jolla. I'm sure it's nothing like it once was in the golden halcyon days of the '60s and '70s, whereas today you have to be as rich as an oil shake (sic) to afford to live in those places. I ought to sue the screenwriter of "Failure to Launch", maybe make some money that way...
