I saw John Edward speaking with Jack Kemp the other day. To be honest, Edwards is a pretty smart guy, and my, my, he looks like he's even younger than he did when he ran with Effin. He must be eating right.
To quote the lady customer in the deli in "When Harry Met Sally" after Meg Ryan's great orgasm scene, "I'll have what she's having".

Nice to see Art Buchwald there (ABC). I know he's very ill these days. I wonder if this is going to be an old clip of him.
I know he's been a lib, but he was a very funny and good-willed guy back about 35 years ago.

It's a slow news week or the fax server at the DNC must be broken.
The "ports issue" is dead, there is no new info in the "we hate Bush" polls that were conveniently released on Thursday and that commie pig teacher (Bennish) was reinstated on Friday so the media could bury it.
Yawn..

If you missed it, you missed a bit of fun last evening. John Kerry was giving a live speech in New Hampshire. Looks like he is kicking off his 2008 run for the White House.
It was a typical Kerry speech --- taking 20 minutes to say nothing but disjointed ramblings. He did try his hand at stand-up comedy. Comedy Central won't be rushing to sign him up from a series. CSPAN threatened to replay it occasionally.
FR thread from last evening:

Russert: "...if the election were held today..."
====
It should be mandatory that, every time a pundit/commentator who uses that phrase before the real 08 election cycle begins, he/she should donate $1000 to charity.
That would either effectively fund every charity for the next dozen years or put a stop to such ridiculous commentary-in-place-of-news reporting.
