Its time to forget September 11th.
Thats right. You heard me.
Its time to push it out of our minds.
You can hoot and holler all you want about this concept. You can say Im anti-American. You can even accuse me of spitting on the memories of all those who died. But you would miss the point of what Im about to say here, because this has nothing to do with the heroes or victims, and nothing to do with politics.
This has to do with us.
At this point, thats all 9/11 is: Just one crazy day that happened four and a half years ago. It sucked, but we cant change it. We shouldnt let it change the American dream.
Look around, and youll find the only thing Americas confident in anymore is its military. Take that awaytake the pageantry, the yellow ribbons, and the thanks to our men and women serving abroad before sporting eventsand its clear that we think we have nothing to offer. Weve grown soft in the era of get-rich-quick McDonalds lawsuits. Our culture is vacuous, and our belief in it is missing. Even the best stuff we havelike our collegesare too busy being reviled to be respected and enjoyed.

(Denny Crane: "I Don't Want To Socialize With A Pinko Liberal Democrat Commie. Say What You Like About Republicans. We Stick To Our Convictions. Even When We Know We're Dead Wrong.")
The Libs don't like you speaking ill of their heros.
obviously someone who didn't lose anyone that day, or feel it as an attack on their country. maybe he should go back to where ever he came from. he was right, i think he IS anti-American.
Forget, Hell!
What a moron.
Obviously Jonathon has not been to 'Ground Zero' recently.

I'll never forget.
"We should never forget September 11th happened. And we should never forget the lessons of the carnage that it caused. But just because 3,000 people died four and a half years ago doesnt mean we should stop believing in the power of what we believe."
Don't agree with everything he writes, but it's not really what the title implies.
UnFreaking believable!
He must have wrote this with his fingers crossed, or maybe he was just clicking his ruby red slippers.
The Eastern Europeans care more about 911 and terrorism then many if not most in the democratic party.

2. NOTHING FOLLOWS.
EOM/EOM/EOM
I want to take this stupid moonbat up to the 104th floor of the World Trade Center, up to Cantor Fitzgerald's trading floor. It's 8:47 a.m. on 9/11, and the building just stopped rocking and the light fixtures and ceiling tiles have just quit raining down. People are screaming and running around, but there's no smoke just yet. The last elevator to safety is long gone, it's history.
Now, how was that again, you stupid m***********?

Liberal scumbags like Jonathan David Morris can forget these people but I can't.
Not ever.
This is exactly why you can never allow these people near the reins of power.
The whole world changed on Sept. 11. These liberals in their sick and twisted minds think that the attack cheated them out of something that is theirs by birthright. What a sick, evil lot they are.
This guy is a moron, he forgets American ingenuity is still alive and well. A group of determined engineers beat NASA's ass developing a reliable spaceplane.
We are still the most freedom loving nation on earth. I can own as many guns as I can afford. Unlike most other parts of the globe I can spout "all muslims are terrorists" and deny the holocaust all I want (I don't by the way) and no one can send me to prison for it.
Unlike this idiot who says all we have going for us is our military might, I still am proud of many things about the USA.
BUMP
Those who forget the lessons of the past are doomed to repeat them.
I still won't have anything to do with mitsubishi for what they did in WWII.
Forget 9-11 hell to.
I still can't get my countrymen jumping out of the 100th floor out of my mind. Or my nephews death in fallujah.
Hey muslim filth, screw you.
This guy just doesn't get that those same people that provide all the tangibles that make this country great also, when necessary, provide the armies that provide and ensure our ideals prevail in defense of ourselves and at times others around the world. He acts like 9/11 was a singular, solitary incident that is unlikely to ever happen again. I guess with his logic of forgetting every attack after four years, it stands to reason why he couldn't remember the 1993 bombing or the USS Cole, etc...if those that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it, what do those that intentially try to forget it get? What they deserve I guess...
If his children had died in 9/11 he may sing a different tune.
I knew how liberals felt about 9/11, when the media made it absolutely clear that they were going to purge every image of the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon by 9/14--no clips, no stills, no nothing. And all because they were concerned about fostering hate against Muslims....
Unfortunately those who choose to forget history are condemned to repeat it over, and over, and over.
I have often said that there are many libs out there who don't see beyond themselves. They don't understand sacrifice, or are unwilling to stay the course to preserve freedom.
These people are short sighted, and should never be trusted as leaders.
You know it. Forget? Only if you stop remembering when you die.
He's in denial.
I glad he wasn't around on Dec 7th, 1941, he'd want to forget that one too!
Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
I'd guess not.
"We should never forget September 11th happened. And we should never forget the lessons of the carnage that it caused. But just because 3,000 people died four and a half years ago doesnt mean we should stop believing in the power of what we believe."
WE NEVER WILL FORGET 9/11! WE ARE FIGHTING THE WOT TO KILL THE MOVEMENT THAT BROUGHT DEVASTATION AND DESTRUCTION ON OUR NATION. WE ARE FIGHTING FOR ALL THAT WE ARE AND ALL THAT WE BELIEVE. THIS GUY IS FULL OF $H!T...
LLS
Thank you for posting that. It's an eloquent rebuttal.
Forget the murders of our countrymen and women? The murders of other nations' citizens on our soil?
Never.
Liberal child-think in the extreme.
But stay tuned folks, there will be even more of the absurd to come. The closer we get to engaging in the big fight ahead, the more frightened and illogical they will become and we will be treated to more of this "broader picture", banal rubbish.
"It sucked!" Gee, I wish I had that kind of literary skill.............................
Love it. Reminds me of Red telling Eric, "Son, bad things don't happen to you because you're unlucky,...bad things happen to you because you're A DUMB ASS!
And dem dat forgets history iz doomed to repeats it...
CAUTION: EARWORM music
The title is his first sentence. They're his own words. Yeah, he's doing it for shock value. He asked for it, he's getting it.
But just because 3,000 people died four and a half years ago doesnt mean we should stop believing in the power of what we believe."
From reading the rest of the article, I can only guess that what he believes in is the power of open borders and free trade. He devotes the most space to bitching about the lack of those.
The most interesting part of the article is the paragraph at the very bottom:
Jonathan David Morris is a political writer -- and sometimes satirist -- based in Pennsylvania. A strong believer in small government, JDM often takes aim at oppressive taxes, entitlements, and laws, writing about incompetence at the highest levels of culture and government. Catch his weekly ramblings at readjdm.com.
I'm not exactly sure what he is, and not sure I want to devote a lot of time to finding out, but he's not exactly a liberal.
I'm okay with that. Let's forget black history, MLK and such. No reason to honor labor either. What else can we just forget? We've moved past it all, haven't we?
