Stop by my house for supper. It's only 14 or 1500 miles out of the way but you'd be welcomed.

If you have any questions, please feel free to post them hereOK. Why is the trip from Mojave to Death Valley a mile longer than the return trip?

You'll have to direct that question to Jim. I only know about this trip.
Graybeard; we'd love to stop by, but we're limited by time constraints on this trip. Maybe next roadtrip. :)

Why is the trip from Mojave to Death Valley a mile longer than the return trip? The construction flag guy got laid off.

Bon voyage.
The view west from the Furnace Creek Inn, just after sunrise, is awesome.

We stopped in Death Valley for the first time last year. You will likely want to spend a little more time there. You might want to stay in the Park for one night. The colors at various times of day are spectacular and the velvety night is awesome. We are happy that we stayed. We had breakfast at the Furnace Creek Inn, you could add rattlesnake to your omelet for $3.00.
Have an excellent adventure!
