Not to be a party pooper, but the eNTjs in the table are under the heading of "Inventors", if I am not mistaken. I know I am an eNTj, and am in the wrong column, and iirc, others listed with me are also eNTjs as well.

Tremendous task, tremendous job.

Just a little more and it will be perfect.

It really is an interesting distribution and I'll have to think about its implications. (I'm an iNTj, I get to do that stuff.) It would be doubly interesting to attempt to correlate those results with, say, membership dates and see where those who have been here three, four, five years (or more) fall in the same distribution.

The skew might be explicable by something as straightforward as the tendency of certain personality types to take such tests (and publish the results) or it may be that the scoring system itself is flawed - such things are, after all, arbitrary by definition. Nevertheless, it's interesting.

It's reassuring to find that one does have a personality after all. It's sort of like taking one's pulse in the morning - any number one or greater and it's going to be a good day, but fewer than that, well...

Mark Helprin's Winter's Tale covers much the same ground as Atlas Shrugged but much more beautifully.

I'll have to check it out. I love that I read Rand, and her ideas stayed with me.... but I notice I only read each book once. ;^)

There are so few Artisans on FR compared to the other types.

Don't let the tags mislead you. I test INTJ or ISFJ, depending on the day, but I'm making home-made kraut and cheddar cheese right now.

I've got a wood-shop and machine shop that make the tools to make the tools to do any damn thing I want. And I use them.

I've got a commo settup that would put a third world intellegence agency to shame, work code at 13 wpm, play piano, paint (water color only right now), and cook for the USAFR.

Oh... and I code in most flavors that unix offers. Including AWK.

Among other things.

Don't let these parlor games affect your thinking...

Final (and fixed) table of results. All 538+ of you.

You would be upset if I told you I got different results a second time would you?...LOL

That looks like a lot of time went into that table. Good job! If you do want to add an occupation for ENTJ I'm in the police biz

Joined in late. Thanks for the link to the test. Looking at the descriptions, the results were frighteningly accurate for this iNTj!

Thanks for the ping! My goodness what a colossal amount of work you've done to organize all this info.

Very interesting to see where I am in regards to FReepers whose opinions I respect or have actually had a back-and-forth with.

Thanks, BTW....

My type sometimes forgets to say that, and generally expect extreme competence and forthright devotion to a cause.... from others... I'm working on it...

I want to do the same thing for about 1200 food-service workers, in and out of the military. I have strong suspicions of what I'll find... but I may never complete the project.

If you want to freep-mail me the food-service portion, that might, maybe, spur me to actually act.

Lots of irons in the fire, here, so don't bother unless it is easy.

cgk, thank you for alphabetizing the names in the tables. I would STILL be working on it if it weren't for you.

There are several mistakes I see already. The reports of name(s?) in the wrong columns is puzzling. I'm not sure how that happened. His name (smokin joe?) probably got mixed up a few threads back, I guess, and was never caught. And there are probably several names in the tables that didn't get added to the ping lists; I kept forgetting they were down there!

Well, maybe over the summer I'll have time to update it again. I know it won't be ANY time soon. If anyone wants to keep it updated, go for it!

I think two columns of names got swapped. Thanks for a great job, though!

I'm an infj, I cook and sew and knit. I'm pretty good at designing this stuff, but that's my anal engineering side, and introvert side. I get math, and love to be alone. It drives my kids bonkers. I also have an mba, so the business side is pretty strong, and I can be social, but more so when needed. That is my creative side. I can call upon the creative side to carry me through social stuff, although I prefer not to engage in it if possible. The two actually blend, engineering and mba.
