Colorado Springs, CO (LifeNews.com) -- Focus on the Family announced Thursday that it has placed the 200th ultrasound machine in a crisis pregnancy center in order to dramatically increase the percentage of women opting against having an abortion. The machine placements are part of a national campaign.
Since the pro-family group launched its Option Ultrasound program, it has helped 200 pregnancy centers get the machines, which show amazing pictures of babies before birth.
Statistics show that 84 percent of women decide against an abortion after seeing an ultrasound of their baby.
Kim Conroy, is the sanctity of life director for FOTF believes that this service is needed and is benefiting women.
"Women deserve factual information regarding their pregnancy," she explained in a press statement provided to LifeNews.com.
"There are significant health risks with abortion, and at the very least they have a right to know the truth regarding this risky procedure from professionals who will not benefit financially from their decision. They also need to know there are positive alternatives for them and their babies," she added.
Option Ultrasound estimates that over 6,300 babies have been saved through pregnancy resource centers which have been approved through this program.
The program also makes sonography training available to medical clinics that meet the professional requirements.
"Women have been fed a lie by abortionists," Conroy added. "Those who are considering an abortion need to know the emotional and physical toll this procedure could have on them -- and they deserve the chance to see their baby face to face before they make this life-changing decision."
Option Ultrasound began in February 2004, and has a goal of placing 650 services by the year 2010.
Uh oh, women choosing life--this is gonna make the "pro choicers" really angry.
Angry "pro-choicers?"
Oh well, ultrasound machines are wonderful and so is LIFE.
Yay science!

Fabulous program. I'd like to see this sort of "informed consent" become a requirement of all abortion mills but of course that's unlikely while abortionists operate with fewer regulations and oversight than manicurists.
I hope that those ultrasound devices are kept under tight security, as no doubt there are many murder-borts, feminazis, and other such fanatics who would love a chance to sabotage or destroy them.
The "Planned Parenthood" cabal stands to lose a lot of $$$ over this development, and we might rather suspect that they'd resent any compromise of their profit margin.
Does anyone have a estimate of how much money has been "lost" by the abortion industry because of that 84% decrease in their "business"?
Ping!
This is wonderful news, but I wonder how many of these machines will conveniently be "broken" when the abortofascists think they have a "willing" victim.
THE ACLU WILL BE STEPPING IN REEL SOON. IF THERE IS NO LAW
AGAINST THESE MACHINES, THEY WILL SOON TRY CREATEING ONE.
WOW, very effective. This is good news.

Changing the law and making the murder of unborn babies a crime is the right thing, but it's the educating and teaching the TRUTH about abortion that will ultimately change the hearts and minds of these young girls and women.
The fact that planned parenthood and many of the pro-death squad do not want women to have ALL the facts before making a decision to kill their baby, tells me all I ever needed to know about the true motives behind this abominable procedure!
Who does this remind you of?
"You are of [your] father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own [nature;] for he is a liar, and the father of lies."

Thank you for posting this.
A program to place ultrasound machines will save more lives than protesters who take pictures of people entering planned parenthood clinics.
It's hard to stomach an abortion after watching an ultrasound video of the procedure. I saw an abortion on video, and I still have nightmares.
It involved dismembering a little girl with a vacuum cleaner hose, while the little girl was swimming away from the vacuum hose in a feeble attempt to find safety.
Beyond despicable.
Please FReepmail me if you would like to be added to, or removed from, the Pro-Life/Pro-Baby ping list...
