March 17, 2006 -- Is Larry King getting too old?
Without warning, a series of news reports have popped up this week questioning King's "frail" health, memory and value to CNN.
The news network has been quick to call the reports bunk.
They are even quicker to deny whispers that these stories are part of a campaign to push King, 72, out and replace him with a younger host.
"Larry King Live" remains CNN's top-rated show - averaging 1 million viewers a night - and King still has three years to go on a deal paying him $7 million a year.
But the stories are obviously making waves inside CNN.
It began last Sunday with a story posted on an L.A. show-biz blog that "Hollywood insiders" were gossiping about King's "increasingly frail" health.

I think Mr. King should retire within the next few years anyway. Given the health problems in the past the rumors going around of King retiring soon is not a surprise to me.
They can run reruns..call it "Larry King DEAD"
Is he still on the air?
Wrong question to ask. Rather, it might be--When did Larry King get too old and too liberal?
