Prompted by the airing of Heartbreak Ridge yesterday, I was talking with my daughter about the MSM's treatment of Reagan. The Grenada war was ridiculed as a joke and a political stunt. IMHO the behavior of the MSM is without question a danger to this country.

I started watching a DVD of the first 26 episodes of Victory at Sea over the weekend. That's the TV series that ran in the 50s and (maybe) into the early 60s that was compiled from war footage and went through the history of WWII, primarily from the sea war perspective.

Contrast that with today, when the MSM has placed a ban on showing any 9/11 footage.

And as far as the U.S. effort is concerned, it seems there is almost nothing the White House...can do that is good enough to garner so much as a one-line "attaboy" from many of our country’s largest newspapers and television news networks...

So what should our attitude be? Let me paraphrase Al Pacino in Scarface...

"**** the country's largest newspapers, and **** the ******* tv news networks! ****'em all! I bury those cock-a-roaches! What'd they ever do for us?"

What I'm trying to say is: we've got to get the message out. Bypass 'em, just like Ronald Reagan did--and that was back in a day when the "Big 3" networks had TWICE OR THREE TIMES the audience they have now. :)

It seems to me that those who are "spinning" the latest offensive by American forces in Iraq as a failure cannot know what affect, if any, the offensive is having on the enemy.

Unless -- they have direct communication and contact with the enemy. And that is possible. The terrorists' have learned to play on C(X)NN and other media like a violin.

Make no mistake. America's enemy is every single, solitary, Muslim in the world. (Someone said that a moderate Muslim is a Muslim temporarily out of AK-47 ammunition).

We are sustaining Iraqi and Afghanistani Muslims with American lives, billions of dollars, food, medicine, arms etc. Are we insane?
