LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Tens of thousands of immigrant rights advocates from across Southern California marched Saturday in protest of federal legislation that would build more walls along the U.S.-Mexico border and make helping illegal immigrants a crime.

The march followed rallies on Friday that drew throngs of protesters to major cities around the nation.

I mean no disrespect, and I'm not trying to start a fight, but how would you know the person was illegal? I'm an old man and I can think of half a dozen people off the top of my head who are US citizens born in Poland, Russia, or Italy, who spoke little or no English until the day they died. In truth, they didn't need it. Most of their neighborhood spoke their native language, and their Churches and businesses as well.

I would think with Spanish being so prevalent these days (Para Espanol, press or say 2), it would be pretty easy for a US citizen to speak only Spanish.

Please study up before making such claims. There are resident aliens that have no intention of immigrating to America. There are illegal aliens from Ireland and China. And illegal immigrants from Russia. Not all of these aliens and immigrants broke in. Many of them came legally, and then failed to comply with all of the requirements. I do not trust ICE to be competent enough to correctly execute our current laws. These were the same people that issued visas to the animals that attacked us. Weeks later. Stopped going to Mexico about 3 years ago when they and France backed Sadam instead of us before the war. St. Lucia is much nicer any way. Plus you can drink the water.
